For those who don’t understand when the grandma was in that world she tried really hard to save her sister but failed and he sister ended up being 1 if the 3 ghosts so coralline probably most likely escaped but the other world was made from the evil mother since she hated the other world coralline lived and ppl who say her real parents are dead no. The accident that happen her mum just broke her neck so she had a cast and her parents didn’t really spend time with her but her parents were in a cold room because of the other mother but now coralline spends time with her parents more often now :but the other world still exists but the door disappears and goes to a other house/country they might do a. Other coralline most likely because they might just leave it to that; hope that helped 😊

I think Coraline escaped, when she sleeps in the other house without buttons, she has to wake up in the real world. It’s only when the buttons are sewed that she loses that ability. I will say though, the other mother was messing with her by making it look like her parents were trapped. The truth is, they were never trapped, and the other mother was messing with Coraline’s mind to trick her into coming back and it worked, but backfired because she ended up freeing the trapped souls as well.

I think she escaped but during the movie she puts the key in the well. Drung the movie it is said that the sky is full of stars. And guess what every time Coraline went into that alternate realm the sky is full of stars. Meaning in theory she gave the key to the other mother.

But there is one thing about it, when Coralines about to go to bed for the first time shes there, the other mother quickly says "of course dear, its all made up, " because she wants Coraline to think it's just a dream so that she won't convince her parents that they are real. The other mother just sent her back because the protal can't be open in the day unless the beldam wants it to be.

Theory: the grandmother is the real witch. The cat is her familiar. That's why wybi says it's he's cat. But it's actually he's grandmother's familiar. The grand mother traps her sisters souls in the pink house in a different demintion by accident while performing a covet spell with her sisters. To break the spell she needs another innocent child break the spell by cutting the threads that bound the souls to that definition. The thread binding the buttons to their eyes. When she scratched them off she broke the spell and freed everyone.

My theory is that Coraline did escape the other mom, the other mother was a resident of the pink place long time ago and use her own mother for some sort of spell that allows her to become who we know her as today . She was chased into the world she made my the then owner of the pink place who lock the door and trapped her there the garden with her face is a warning to her desendents, the cat is probably a guide which would explain how he is able to go in and out of the other world . As for the grandmother, I think she attempted to save her sister but failed. As for the Coraline doll the Grandmother brought it back from the other world when she escaped but it didn't look like Coraline, she changed it so it looked that way so that Coraline would be the target. Well this is my theory, please tell what you think about it 😊
