Just for anyone who it might help, I don’t know if it’s the best advice but for me NC helped a lot. I think realizing how much you’re missing someone is a really powerful. My ex (the dumper) contacted me after 3 weeks of NC saying that they couldn’t do it anymore and that they “saw me everywhere they looked” and wanted to talk. Granted when the breakup happened I suggested a break instead, admitted that I too needed time apart because was also feeling a loss of attraction (didn’t actually want the break or break up but played it cool) and I think the strength it took for me to do that😅 disarmed him almost immediately and helped him get into a state of nostalgia a lot sooner than he would have if I had begged

Hey Brad! I have a couple of questions

When my ex gf (of an 8 month relationship) broke up with me 11 days ago, she was super angry and telling me "It's over!" and "Leave me alone!". We talked for an hour and I was crying, trying to convince her etc. Towards the end, I told her that I accept her decision and then I brought up memories like "I'll never forget our first kiss, attending your graduation etc" and I saw her face change (she looked sad). She then let me hold her really closely and make out with her for a few minutes. I said "I love you and I'll miss you" and she said "I'll miss you too". I went home and then she had deleted all our pics together but hadn't blocked me. I sent her a long-ish message about how I'll never regret our relationship and wish her a happy life, she replied that she wishes the same for me. Since then, I've done no contact for 11 days and neither of us have reached out to each other. The strange thing is, 2 weeks before we had a fight and she said "I still love you I think, because if we broke up I wouldn't know what to do with myself".

I should also add that she broke up with me because we'd usually have at least one big argument every month (and also because the relationship became boring in the last month, she didn't say this but I suspect that was at least half of the reason). I think I was on thin ice and then the final argument tipped her over the edge to break up with me. I'm somewhat suprised that she broke up with me, because she actually pursued me first and used to be obsessed with me lol (we got together in 2 days of knowing each other)

Is all of this normal? And does anything here seem to increase/decrease my chances?

My ex and I broke up 4 years ago and ever since then I’ve made him hate the idea of getting back together. The reason why we broke up was because he had a fear of committing too soon. His told me to move on countless of times. But I don’t want to.. I love him so much.. and I want to do anything if it means getting him back to me.

We’ve been apart for over a year, and she’s in a new relationship. I don’t contact her, but she reaches out to me, even more so recently. When she’s upset, because “I’m the only one that gets her” or “I know how to make her feel better.” She updates me on how her schooling is going, and sends me pics from the past reminiscing about our times together, and sends me current pictures of herself. It’s been one month since he broke up with me after a 2, 5 years relationship(lack of communication - he told me I was pressuring him and being controlling for reasons that he didn’t mention before- I tried to explain him but it was too late).I am trying to keep no contact even when I bump into him(I try to talk less). During this month he hasn’t texted me or called me but when I see him in person he is very kind and happy with me. Also when he sees me, he looks me straight into my eyes and his body posture points at me(maybe this is stupid😂).
