A normal person's normal basal metabolic rate is calculated using a simple general formula of 1kcal/kg/hour.
In general, the Normal Basal Metabolic Rate BMR or Resting Energy Expenditure (REE) of a healthy adult male is 1600 kcal/day and for a healthy adult female is 1400 kcal/day.
