If I wasn't poor I would, I'll hold on to AM4 for a bit longer and I am very thankful for AMD making that possible

Only ONE thing matters: Benchmarks. When will the companies ever learn? All that marketing means jack squat. ZERO.

4 things I would give a product a PASS to be worth my money:

P - performance
A - affordability
S - stability
S - support

"A few more pcie lanes' like that's not absolutely massive. LET ME HAVE BOTH x16 LANES AND ALL MY M.2 SLOTS WITHOUT BOGGING jfc why is that so difficult. Got me looking at threadrippers just to use all of my parts in one build

As a 7700X owner, I will definitely not be upgrading. I probably won't upgrade until AM5 is EOL and I can get a 14950X4D in the socket.

Just upgraded my 07 pc to a dual core 3.0ghz. Was a dual core 1.8ghz. And added a CD burner and a wifi card and USB 2.0. It's running original Doom at 30 frames!! Loving it

i recently got a 7950X3D for $375, so I do not need to upgrade to the 9950X3D. The only issue is the number of PCI-E lanes. I can either do x16+x4+x4+x4 (GPU + 3 NVMEs) and have 4 SATA ports, or have x16+x4+x4+x4+x4 (GPU + 4 NVMEs) and have 2 SATA ports. I will probably go with the latter, so I can put a PCI-E x4 to 6x SATA adapter in the 2nd x16 slot.

Honestly, we should have 36-40 PCIe Lans. 2 x16 lanes for GPUs or RAID 0 drives, and 2 x4 for M.2 Drives

I went from Ryzen 3700x to 7950x. It works hard and delivers on all levels, gaming and work. I have worked with a 14700 in similar environments and the 7950x holds it own and even feels smoother at times.

I'm interested in what the integrated GPUs on the mobile processors can do. The 780M of previous generations was just enough to play AAA titles at low settings. I wonder if the 880M and 890M will enable higher settings.

I'm still on AM4 so really depends on what pricing looks like. Need to see if its financially worth it to upgrade.

I'm rocking a 7600x on an MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi. I'm good for a good long while.

3900x and 6700XT, I just don't feel the need to upgrade

I'm waiting for the R7 9800X3D. Will be a nice upgrade over my current R5 5600X

Ryzen 5000 x3d was just barely behind Ryzen 7000 so I stayed on am4. I’m not upgrading gpus anytime soon so I’ll stay in am4 until am6 comes out
