With a small bump to boost clocks and the teensiest increase of L1 cache, how good could AMD's new Ryzen 7 9800X3D possibly be?

3:25 - On this graph the 'Core Ultra 5 285K' label is incorrect. It should read 'Core Ultra 9 285K'.

props again to the team for the editing once again
the little intel icons and red/white markers was super helpful!

This is the best you guys have blended script with the graphical data. Thank you for the blinking dots on the right it helps me know what to look at right away before the graph is gone.

I appreciate the flashing dots on the graphs to make immediately clear which ones you're talking about.

This is by far the best review you guys have made! I loved how you were able to look at things from a variety of perspectives (gaming, productivity, upgrading from different kinds of customers and upgrade paths, CPU bottlenecked games vs normal gaming, etc.) One tiny bit of feedback, I'd love to see even older stuff than 3 gens ago... the 3600x feels fairly modern to me. I have a 3900x, and I see no reason to upgrade for another few generations. Can you add a few significantly older CPUs like a 7700k, a ryzen 1800x, and one that's REALLY old, just for refernetial purposes(maybe a 4770k and 2700k?) I think it'd give a good perspective on how things have progressed over the years and would help out people who keep their hardware a long time (such as myself). Great job LMG team!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for including the Ryzen 5 3600X in your review! It's so nice seeing comparisons with older popular processors when watching reviews about new ones. Really helps put the numbers into perspective.

Have seen both options of thumbnails, and have never been more driven away from watching the video, but more driven towards commenting on it.

I appreciate the transparency. Most non technical people watch 1080p benchmarks, see ~100fps improvement, buy the x3d chip and then play on nothing but 2k or 4k resolution with nearly no benefit after spending much more than they should on a cpu and less on gpu. Buyers should only purchace an expensive x3d only if they have a 4080 or 4090. Pairing it with a 7800xt or a 4070 is a waste of money.

Am I the only one who came to see how good 5800X3D holds up against the new champion instead of how good the 9800X3D is ??? So happy to see 5800X3D is still alive and kicking. It's punching waaayyy above its weight. Hats off to AMD for caring for the budget gamers by not ditching old product.

Buying the 5800X3D was possibly the best tech decision I've ever made! It still hauls a$s 3 years later! It was such advanced tech for the time!

This is the only fair review of this chip I have seen. All the other shills are only showing 1080p results and claiming this is the best gaming cpu on the market. They fail to tell you it makes no sense to buy this chip if you play at high resolutions. They are misleading to say the least, some might call them fraudulent. Glad to see this channel redeem itself with a complete and honest review, not some paid-for shills like other channels at this point.

Also funny to see you showing ther increased power draw vs previous gen, while some other channel just claims it uses less power.

Thank you for including GPU limited 1440p (and 4k) scores. Not surprising, but important to confirm for those of us washed up gamers chillin on AM4 and 5800x3D! Not all of us are young enough anymore to see the code at 480hz and have enough cartilage in our hands for esports. 1440p ultra settings FTW.

Whoever did the ad in the beginning should do every add. I like his energy. I'll stop skipping your ads if he's on them.

Highest quality CPU review I’ve seen from you all ever. Answered every question I had, specifically the 5800X3D comparison at 1440p and 2160p and the thermals. I was informed exactly how I needed to be to make a decision that makes sense for MY setup, thank you.

One CPU to rule them all, a GPS chip to to find them, one network switch to bring them all, and with the LEDs blind them

I gotta say, that sponsor segue was hilarious! I actually laughed, and it made me way more curious about the product than I usually am with ads. It didn’t even feel like a sponsorship—more like an extra part of the video I genuinely enjoyed. Great job, Linus and team! Honestly, I’d love to see more of this style in future videos!.
god bless your souls and especially dennis man i love to see him on screen! <3 <3 <3 <3

I don't normally comment but when I saw you guys benchmarked stellaris I had to. I mostly play strategy games and find it hard to find strategy game benchmarks. MORE OF THIS PLEASE! You guys do an incredible job. I will make sure to like. Games like Rimworld, Cities Skylines, Stellaris, Civilization turn times, and other sim heavy games would always be great to see!
