Those X3D CPUs are looking amazing. The 7800X3D performance is off the charts.
And the 5800X3D is still keeping pace, despite being 2 generations old.

Thanks for adding the 5800x3d. I am definitely not upgrading for a while longer.

Man id like to thank all the people i watched on youtube who said get a 7800x3d and not a 14900k lmao. Jay/gn/hub/ltt etc. and glad to see it keeps getting validated as the safe choice

7700 non-X looks like a budget king here

So basically, the 5800x3d is still doing great. Guess ill wait another year or to at least to upgrade.

Really looking forward to the X870(E) motherboard review! Also looking forward to 9800X3D & 9950X3D reviews when available. Great job as always Steve and Hardware Unboxed.

7700X + Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2 + 32GB G.Skill DDR5-6000 CL30 is going for $349 right now at Microcenter. Truly a blessing to live near one. This is hands down the best deal on starting a new PC platform.

Your upcoming memory tests on AM5 motherboards will be invaluable. I'm leaning forward right now, knowing it'll still be in weeks. Thanks for all you do.

After watching epyc reviews, it looks like this architecture really just focused on high end workloads where it seems to really shine. The epyc cpus also got a fully revamped IO dye, which didn't really change between zen 4 & 5. That makes me wonder if the 9800 x3d will give a bit extra if there's a bottleneck there.

Great update, thanks 🙂
Can't wait for the 9800X3D review 😊

The 7700X is now often available for like $230, making it a great value - if not the best - CPU in my opinion. Especially as the Ryzen 7600(X) is still around $190.

I'm still waiting for that 24H2 download.

Highly suggest watching High Yields breakdown of the architecture changes from the high res die photographs.

This video once confirmed that getting the 7800X3D last year on launch was 1 of the best purchases I ever did.

Just a note, if you remove the outlier of ACC corseta, generally you should move the worst performing outlier as well. Regardless you're still at about 4 or 5%.

Zen5 is blatantly aimed at data centre and workstation markets. Gamers were not a priority *at all*.

They put all their eggs in the AVX-512 basket, and they're probably pushing software developers behind the scenes to implement AVX-512 in everything.

If your workload is AVX-512 enabled, Zen5 kicks ass.

If not, it's still about 10%(ish) ahead of Zen4 fir many workstation and data centre tasks.

You don't matter to AMD (or Intel, or Nvidia). Data centre is all they care about.
