Yes! I went through a terrible awful divorce and stayed back at home for a short time-my narcissistic mother and her husband put sound activated recording devices in the room I stayed in, and also somehow recorded all my phone conversations, illegally. I was humiliated to say the least - Oh God this video now makes me wonder where else they spied!

My laptop & phone was hacked. I wasn’t 100% sure at first until the sociopath randomly accused ME of hacking his devices and when I got 2 alerts from IG showing hacking attempt from HIS address. Like…wtf I can’t with these demonic fools.

Spot on. I got a restraining order, and he's still stalking me! If they can't control where you go, they'll control how free you will actually be. I trust no one and don't feel safe anywhere. It's horrible how they can't drain every ounce of energy out of you even when you're not with them anymore.

These recording devices (if online) emit a signal. There are other devices you can buy that can be used to detect that signal and respond based on proximity to the camera or GPS device hidden around you. Kind of like a metal detector, but for electronic signals. You can order these devices online and regularly check your home/car/job with it. I don't know a brand or a specific store, but if you Google and look, they're pretty easy to find and purchase. It can help with peace of mind, because it's the constant wondering and fear that erodes our mental health.
Other than that, search your home top to bottom, keeping in mind that recorders can be in vents, wall outlets, under furniture, hidden in objects like alarm clocks or teddy bears. And know that your own self-installed security cameras can be hacked if you do not have a very strong protected password to the online account for those cameras. Toss anything you're suspicious about, keep your doors and windows locked, and NEVER LET THAT PERSON BACK IN.

Yep. Before mine passed she looked up personal information on the internet about me and teased me about it. Glad she's gone.

Yep. The "roommate succeeded in doing all that. He finally had too be removed by a judge's restraining order.

My mother records all calls and doesn't tell anyone she is doing it. She obsessively saves all chats, screenshots them and I'm not sure how much of this stuff is circulating in family and friend circles.
The last time she came over to my house (after 2yrs of lockdown etc.), instead of interacting with me, she took videos of my house and kept exclaiming how messy it was. We hadn't met after my miscarriage, 10 months of really bad health which was then diagnosed as an autoimmune disease and at the time I wasn't on the right meds. My house was cluttered and I was out of shape due to all these circumstances. But all my mother did was refuse to look at me (cz I'd put on weight) for 2hrs and then run around the house taking videos of every corner. Then she blamed me for getting upset and blocked me for a few months.

Anyone going through narcissistic abuse understands exactly what you are referring to. To any normal person, they must be like, "everyone puts cameras for security reasons. What's the big deal and that doesn't make them narcissist." Big difference only narc victims will get.
