Alonso is at the Venice Film Festival and just saw BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE! He has some quick thoughts, right out of the theater, on the sequel to Tim Burton's 1988 horror comedy "Beetlejuice." Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara return, with Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci joining them, among others. Excellent! I remember seeing the first Beetlejuice when it came out in theaters and had never seen anything like it. It established Tim Burton as one of my favorite directors.

Looking forward to this, it has been ages since I've seen the original and as you rightly said Burton has been hit or miss. Your reaction gives me hope though and great that the old crew has returned.
