If you’ve got chronic back pain, pay attention to these 4 things:

✔️ Make sure to stretch your hip flexors, glutes & hamstrings! Tight hip muscles can pull your pelvis out of alignment, creating pressure on your low back.

✔️ Avoid ab-only core exercises! Tons of flexing & twisting without any balanced strengthening can really aggravate a fragile lumbar spine.

✔️ Avoid twisting & arching to try & “stretch out” your back. Your lumbar spine needs to be sturdy & stable, NOT flexible, to be healthy.

✔️ Pay attention to your posture!! Tilting, cocking a hip out to the side, arching or slumping will all put pressure on your back.
