He's right that the most important way to charm is to smile/laugh, but I disagree when he says that you don't need to say "a whole lot". To charm somebody, it's important that you ensure a conversation continues, especially in potentially awkward situations. Moreover, the charmer should ask lots of questions about the charmee, and be very attentive so that they feel appreciated and valued. Of course, there isn't a blanket-cover for every situation.

Actually there was a recent study that showed in general women are less attracted to men who smile so I wouldn't recommend smiling alot. There's a feminine quality to it so in a way I can see why women are more turned on by guys who don't smile as much.
