Why does it always turn to Trump when no one is even talking about him. Is it because you don't have nothing and thats your go too.

You have the story wrong on the rank. In the army you have to be a rank for three years to retire at that rank. So, he was a Command Sergeant Major, but not for his pension.

He would have had knowledge of deployment. This lady has no clue what she's talking about. Your unit will get notified a year out or more for train-up, which is to ensure you are trained properly in the area of operation your unit is deploying to.

The most important issue facing America is the deficit & the debt, ask the candidates how they are going to deal with that and will they prioritize reducing government spending. So far both sides and the media are avoiding this question.

She repeatedly uses the phrase “arguably”. There is no argument about Vance's service. But when it's real there is no argument. Walz Is a liar and a coward. No argument about that. It was the soldiers who served with him that brought it up to begin with

Why lie or not correct the misunderstanding. Shady.

I'm sorry, but my husband, as an E3, knew where he was going at least 6 months before!!

He said he was a combat vet, he claimed he carried a M16 and he claimed a rank he did not deserve, all these are lies. Add in the deployment issue and Walz should just shut up and stop with the whole vet thing.... No one really cares he was in the NG, it's the boosting of his service that is the issue.

Once the WSJ was a world standard for journalism. I read it every day as did virtually all leaders in business, government, the media, as well as the public at large. It stood as one of two pillars of ideas, the NYT on the left and the WSJ on the right. However, they were both reliably and dependably relatively free of undo bias. Sadly, that is no longer true. Both have succumbed to factionalism and that's a pity. Here's one for all of you, left or right: 2 + 2 + 4 all the time, everywhere. Doesn't it make sense to have a media which plays it down the middle? Doesn't it foster a society heavy in the middle like a bell curve? Just sayin'.

Warz was a weekend warrior who never deployed and an "acting jack" REMF.
JD Vance was active duty.

I have no idea what Harris' positions are. You can only look up her past comments but some of that was 4 or 5 years ago. Also, why does she need 3:weeks to sit down for a friendly interview? It's not as if the late Mike Wallace is waiting to talk to her.

That "training" is called the United States Of America Sargent Major Academy, and it's not a small thing. In fact, it's required for every Sargent Major or "E9" that's in a nato military to have to go to the USASMA, not just the army.

My son served in Iraq. He carried a weapon of war and served in actual combat. His opinion of Walz is that his description of his service is misleading. Most of us would assume Walz served in the field and Walzs’ words were deliberate. It is not stolen valor but deceptive and deliberate.
