Democratic VP pick Tim Walz’s experience in the armed forces is an atypical one for most Americans— particularly for politicians. But that doesn’t stop JD Vance from baselessly accusing Walz of “stolen valor.”

Chris Hayes has no experience with this…let’s ask his troops directly and see what they say.

Can you find one of his battle buddies to come on air and vouch for him? The CSM who deployed with Walz's unit after Walz retired says Walz abandoned his troops and avoided the deployment.

How about we bring the troops he served with on air to hear it straight from them?? No BS, just facts.

At my last tour at Ft. Bragg, my unit received a warning order to deploy to a combat zone. Once that order came, our Operations Sergeant, who had never deployed to a combat zone, decided the leave the unit. Never had much use for that fella.

Chris Hayes, no Republican denounced Walz's service. Where Walz crossed the line was when he claimed to have served in combat when he did not. That is stolen valor. Chris, try being a journalist just for once.

But he claimed to have gone to war and retire as a CSM. He acted as a CSM he wasn’t a CSM.

This is not the first veteran Captain Bonespur has insulted. Won't be the last.

I served for 22 years but I respect all those that have served regardless of the length of service or where they served. We all had a specific job to do.

A lot of us that served have hearing problem's. That just hazzards of serving. Loud gunfire, airplanes, worked in manufacturing. That can be damaging also.

Telling lies use to cause public disgrace. Now telling lies is just a way of life and accepted by too many.

Anyone who has ever served in the United States military understands the presence and bearing of a top soldier. They lead by example; know how to communicate effectively; how to motivate and inspire; how to admonish and chastise fairly and consistently. A top soldier is highly respected, and not simply owing to their rank. A top soldier is a person of great skill, courage, character, honesty, and integrity. I was a soldier who had the privilege of working under such people, male and female, all of whom were olive green outside and red, white and blue to their core. These are the people who we can all trust, both as soldiers and citizens. Be thankful for them; be grateful they are alive and among us. Tim Walz is such a person.

Military retirements take an average of 6-12 months to process. Retiring is NOT quitting!

Regardless of if he fought. He still served in the military.

Exactly. It just burns me when services are cut or inadequate for veterans. They should get the best treatment.

The war in Iraq was a very very bad mistake! The terrorists were saudis, and there were not weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Just a waist of money, weapons and humans!

Well he did claim to carry a weapon in war when he never deployed or saw combat in any form. Sounds like a lie to me.

A master Sergeant, a football coach with a State football championship…it shows he can lead and encourages people to become better..

Joe Eustice, who served with Tim Walz, commended Tim for his service and said it was perfectly okay for him to retire. The fricken monsters who go after him because of one video clip where he misspoke are why people hate politics. When you accuse someone of having “stolen valor” you’re tarnishing their whole reputation when you don’t even know all the good that Tim has done to save lives in floods and help students who eventually went to fight in Iraq. It’s just gross!

The GOP should sit that one out. Generalissimo Bone Spurs and military desk jockey Shady Vance is what they need to worry about.

As a vet. I could not support Mr Bone spur. I can not forget that telephone conversation the Oranje Turd had with
a fallen soldier's mother. He was killed in a gun fight in Syria. The Oranje Turd had no sympathy.
all he said to the HERO's mother was, he knew what he signed up for.
