it is not about his service, it is about him lying about what he did during his service.

The soldier who defends him is defending a liar. What a disgrace for both, him and Walz.

Walz said he retired as a Command Sergeant Major, an E-9. Walz retired as a Master Sergeant, E-8.
Walz is a Liar. Walz also knew in March 2005 that they were notified they would be going to IRAQ.

It is NOT Walz's military service that is at issue, it's his lying about his record that is at issue. Walz lied about serving in combat, and he lied about his retirement rank. The Command Sergeant Major who took his place when Walz cut and ran when his NG unit was about to be activated, has said they were both told about the activation months prior to the official alert going out. Prior to Walz applying for retirement they were both in a staff meeting to put together a team to prepare for the upcoming unit activation. He said it was after that meeting that Walz put in for retirement. Walt's service was honorable, but lying about that service, and his retirement rank, is dishonorable.

Fine he retired. Thanks for his service. Why has he lied about serving in combat and about the rank he retired with? Shame on him for lying. I’d say it is stolen valor.

Update: The former battalion commander for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s (D) National Guard unit responded to reports that the governor had suggested he retired as a “Command Sergeant Major, ” and noted that Walz did not “successfully complete any assignment” at that rank.

He dropped out AFTER he found out he was going Forward .He is a coward that collected a paycheck for 24 years, that is all he did. "He did his job as well as anybody did " I would consider myself a failure if my coworkers said that about me .

He lied NUMEROUS times about his retired rank. Easiest way to prove it is to look as his ID. It has his rank on it. He didnt mis-speak, he flat out lied. And he insinuated he was in combat. What happened to JJ DID TIE BUCKLE, MSgt Walz?

In 2001 Walz knows he has a “Contractual” commitment to the NG and his troops to 2007.
Walz signed a 6 year “Contract” in 2001 with the NG.
2003 Walz signs his “Contract” for CSM position with the NG.

In the “Contract” he is required to go through the CSM 2 year academy. He knows at that time (2003) he will be deployed no if and or buts.
After that, he is required to do another 2 years of field assignments to satisfy the CSM “Contract“ requirements. He walked away from his “Contracts.” No signatures on his walks aways.

Walz said in 2005, in a press release “As Command Sergeant I have a responsibility to ready my battalion for Iraq, but also [to serve if called on.]” Cheap talk from a coward, but good for politics and the uninitiated.

Easy way to verify is to adk for his DD 214 that will tell you everything- he got his deployment orders before he chose to retire - fact - yes I am a veteran

I carried 'Weapons of War ' in terms of an M-60 machine gun, and I never left Australia.

He may be a guy that was scared to be deployed. True

On September 17, 2004: Conditionally promoted to Command Sergeant Major. On September 10, 2005: Reduced to Master Sergeant as he failed to meet the conditions of his promotion and dropped out of the academy. This reduction was actually backdated to the date to the same date as his conditional promotion. This means that technically Walz was never a CSM as he had only been frocked to that rank, he wasn't even paid as a CSM for the time that he was in that position!

Evidence shows a different time line. Also, no military in the world uses semi automatic firearms. So AR-15's are not "weapons of war". Then there's the dude who says "I wouldn't vote for him", yet defends him. WTF?

Tampon Tim knew ahead of time he was going to be deployed and sorry to say he chickened out…. !

In that video, he also says "I was in the Army for 25 years". Actually 24, and actually one weekend a month +2 weeks a year... lol. That's NOT being in the Army.

He ran his mouth typical cowardly move

I am a Navy veteran. If this happens to be true about stolen valor and him lying about it should automatically disqualify him for being V/P. I feel insulted by his actions. Typical lying politician. This is really getting old.

An artillery gun is pulled behind a very large truck.

The Truth: Waltz the Dancer, sat as a passenger while a lower enlisted driver drove the truck and pulled the artillery gun to a location in a non combat area position.

The bootcamp photo shows the Dancer Waltz holding an infantry mans weapon, an M-16, giving the Drug Addicted and Mentally Ill Democrat the impression Waltz the Dancer was in ground combat.

That's the lie.

This is HOLLYWOOD.

Nobody even brings up the fact that he was liying about AR15 rifles to begin with. There has never been any AR15 rifle in any war
