If you serve 24 years you can decide to retire whenever you choose to and deserve all the respect in the world. As a fellow veteran, this is disgusting especially since his running mate is a draft dodger.

I am a 20 year retired Military Veteran. Let's be clear; JD Vance never fired a shot or was ever in harms way. Vance was a Media specialist; a very clean job with no weapons involved.

And he was deployed for 6 months in public affairs??? He could have stayed home for that

Jaydie Vanz was a secretary and journalist in the Marines. He was only in the Marines for a couple of years, but never fought in any wars, unless typing a letter was considered fighting! Vanz had a woman's job while in the Marines!

He never said he was in a war zone, he said he carried a weapon in a war which he did during Operation Enduring Freedom. Vance never carried a weapon in the 6 months he was in Iraq.

…and JD Vance was a military reporter. Last person who should be talking about being in a war zone. Vance is a joke.

Lol you attack a man that served his country, but you running next to a man that faked an injury. So he didn't have to serve

When veterans denigrate the honorable service of other veterans, everyone loses. The simple fact is that if you're on this side of the dirt, there's always someone else who has given more than you. I'm proud to have two VP candidates who both served.

Tim Walz served 24 years and achieved the rank of Command Sergeant Major (E-8). He served his country with distinction, and even suffered hearing loss from exposure to heavy artillery.
Vance only served 4 years, and only achieved the rank of corporal (E-4). Military life was too tough for him, so he quit. (This short-timer, "jumped ship", after his easy time at Cherry Point).
For JD Vance to talk about "stolen valor" is like a butter knife claiming to be a weapon, Vance was a REMF, who stayed behind the lines, writing stories and shooting "pictures". What valor?

To clarify, it typically takes about 24 months to retire from the military. Most units are aware of their deployment schedules and will forecast manpower for the specific timeframe. Once retirement is approved, the individual's deployment status changes, allowing them to start attending retirement briefs and medical exams, which can take some time. With over 24 years of service, Walz is indeed legitimate. Y'all are reaching 😂

Can someone please point me to the video where Walz says he carried a gun in a war zone. I have to fact check because you can't just trust tweedle D and tweedle V

He spent 24 years in the army national guard and Trump dodged the draft.

Well,
Walz served 24 years, and that is not enough?
How long did Vance served?

Walz deployed with the Minnesota National Guard in August 2003 to Vicenza, Italy, as part of support for the US war in Afghanistan, according to a Minnesota Guard spokesperson...Coach Walz is telling the truth

Walz was deployed in Italy as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, where I'm sure he was issued a weapon. A weapon he didn't want to see on the streets. He never said he saw combat. I get why you're salty, but no. You didn't see combat either. You were a Corespondent.

This is the exact quote of Tim Walz in a town hall meeting many years ago.. This is the exact word for word quote that came out of his mouth...Tim Walz quote: " and we can make sure that those weapons of war that "I CARRIED IN WAR" is the only place these weapons are at"

Just Dumb Vance spent his time in the military behind a typewriter so his makeup and eyeliner wouldn't get damaged

Who at this moment is on his knees kissing the ring of a Draft Dodger.

A Sergeant-Major 'retiring' when his unit gets called into a combat zone is a poor reflection of character and commitment. A person of that rank is supposed to inspire the soldiers and lead by example, and NOT desert them when the going gets tough.

As a fellow drag queen, I'd be happy to tell Vance where he's going wrong applying his eyeliner. DeSantis ignored our advice about avoiding elevator cowboy boots and look where he ended up.
