DEAR BEGINNERS, if you're confused follow this 10 step guide that will get you : 1) Finish Plateau, obviously.
2) Do Dueling Peaks area shrines, tower, and Kakariko. The shrine on the southern dueling peak is majorly important to get done early because you can get to huge amounts of area from it.
3) Head for Hateno and do the tower and shrines on the way.
OPTIONAL: I *HIGHLY* suggest you get the *climbing* set if you can do the major test of strength this early.
4) Head back to Kakariko and start the memory main quest.
5) Warp to Plateau tower and mark all the towers I can see on the horizon. Head straight for each tower, grabbing shrines along the way, and then scan the horizon from each tower for other towers and/or shrines.
6) Fill the map.
7) Choose Stam first over anything else until two full circles.
8) Pump hearts until you get 9 containers and then go back to stam until it's a full three circles.
9) Do the Divine Beasts for the four hearts needed for 13 hearts. Mipha, Revali, Daruk, Urbosa is my favorite order.
10) Get Master Sword.

Ultimately in the beginning and a decent portion of the game you wanna focus on filling your stamina, don't worry about health until you have two full stamina rings and allocate the rest in hearts, 9 of them. Just about everything in the game requires stamina, if you're that worried about health and hearts make sure you combine/cook anything with "hearty" in the title. Be stealthy. Don't just run head first into a crowd of boboklins or other enemies without thinking first because you're gonna get fucked up until you get decent armor and weapons and a decent amount of health. Be stealthy and look at your environment, just about everything in the environment is interactive, so use different strategies if you're struggling with one certain one. There's so many things you can do to kill enemies in this game without jeapordizing your health and time that I can't even sit here and explain them all. Get creative, if you think of a plan, more often than not you will barely have to lift a finger. If you think it, you can do it... almost every time. Avoid fighting completely if you need to, by sneaking past enemies with the stealth crouch/walk you can do. Do as many shrines as possible. Every 4 shrines will net you a 4 spirit orb which you can exchange for 1/5 of a stamina wheel or a heart container. Again I, and many other players suggest you focus on getting 2 full stamina wheels and the 9 hearts. You can go fight the divine beasts now if you'd like, no matter what you do though whether you wait until you're getting OP to fight them or you wanna do it sooner, fight Vah Ruta, trust me you want the item from Revali, its one of the most useful items in the game and will make the rest of the game a lot easier. the hearts aren't really what you want to waste your spirit orbs on as you need stam alot, hearty food combos can give you a lot of extra hearts at a much much much smaller cost and is more time effective. Once you beat the 4 Divine and the 4 extra heart containers from them, on top of the 9 hearts you should have at this point. Go back to a goddess statue and convert the stamina back to hearts. You need 9 hearts from spirit orbs/goddess statue with the other 4, making 13 which will allow you to retrieve the master sword from Faron Woods. You cannot get the master sword any other way, period. Only when you have 13 hearts will the path be revealed and able to travel on, this is where you'll get the master sword. You should be very beasty at this point. You should have no problem with Ganon or any other enemies and environments if you made it this far. Reallocate your stamina and hearts however you want but like I said the key to the game is STAMINA, SHRINES, COOKING, STEALH... oh and use your bow to fight enemies from a safe distance whenever possible, its much easier to take out hordes if you pick them off from a distance and they won't know where's its coming from either. Anyway, there's still shit loads more to learn about and good advice and tips. Just remember to think outside the box and use the resources I provided and you'll be just fine. Dont be scared to explore, you'll never find anything good doing that. The more you get used to exploring, the easier this game will become. I hope this helps.

My only problem with this game is all the rly rly cool stuff in it that you miss so very easily simply because they never mention anything about it.
