White Arabian info: Make sure you complete the hunting mission with Hosea before venturing up the cold mountain. You have to unlock the stables or the White Arabian won't spawn.

If you go to St Denis in chapter 2 around 9 o'clock in game you can stop a robbery and get a black Arabian very easily after the coach driver drives off it'd hitched up behind it. It's on the right side of the building where the tailors are 👌the best way to trigger this is to ride past bronte's mansion turn left and then left again between 9-10 o'clock and it should work you may need to do a lap or 2 to trigger it but it's worked every time for me.

I would argue that stealing a dutch warmblood from a prospector at the river or from some other NPC if you see one is a better choice for a first horse. The Dutch warmblood is very sturdy, does not get spooked, I have had a panther chew at its legs and it did not throw me off LOL, and is reasonably fast and maneuverable. The Arab is pretty and fast but it accelerates too fast, I constanty outrun especially smaller animals that i am trying to hunt. It is also skittish although that gets better when fully bonded.
It is just too small though. Arthur looks better on a bigger horse like the Turkoman or the MFT.
Also getting an upgraded saddle from the trapper early on is a good early call.

You should also mention the gold bar in Limpany, the train wreck, and the Strange Statues treasure to get Arthur plenty of cash. You should also get the Legend of the East satchel crafted as soon as possible.

The fences in Rhodes and Saint Denis are open from the get go, just the Emerald Ranch fence needs to be unlocked through story. Great video though. Especially the Limpany gold bar, first thing I grab in chapter 2.

Good stuff! I try to upgrade Arthurs tent ASAP in Chap 2 to unlock the fast travel which makes exploring a lot less time consuming. So I do the Strauss money lending mission with the Polish guy and return to camp to unlock the ledger. Gold bars are necessary, so I usually grab the 1 in Limpany on my own then head over to the Strange Statues after hunting with Hosea for convenience. Visiting as many towns as possible, Emerald Ranch is a good train hub and you can reach Wallace Station which is a good shortcut to the Legendary Buck.

For cash, I recommend finding the Jack Hall Gang treasure and the Cave Statue puzzle in Ambarino. The cave is right by the mysterious hill home. Both of these things together will net you 5 gold bars, which is 2, 500 dollars. Even if you're not going for 100% it's a real easy way to make a lot of money early on in chapter 2.

Arthur mentions that he wants a big, strong horse. Yet we always gravitate to that little tiny Arabian. 😆

Pick 3 Yarrow plants (with the red flower) in the field down by the river from Horseshoe Overlook. Then go to the Trapper to get the Herbalist Secondary Gun Holster.

Jump on the train at Valentine, take a seat (it’s free), and ride until you return to Valentine to reveal most of the Map. (North of the Black Water region)

For efficiencies sake;
1 - Do Hosea’s mission for the Legendary Grizzly Bear.
2 - Then head to Lake Isabella. There’s sometimes an elusive and shy Moose by the lake, slightly south of where the Arabian horse is at. (You can use an improved arrow to the head). If it’s not there, leave the area, save and reload.
3 - Then get the Arabian horse. 4 - Then get the Legendary White Bison on the other side of the lake.
5 - Then head to cave at the north end of the lake for the Cobalt, which you’ll need for the Boar’s Tusk Talisman.
6 - Then follow the creek all the way north to get the Hawkeye Trinket on the small ice sheet under the waterfall.
7 - If you’re willing to wait until you’ve met Jeremy Gills in chapter 3, you can also get the Legendary Sockeye Salman. (If you abandon a Legendary pelt, it will be at the Trappers)

And the first thing you should do is get the gold bar in Limpany, ride to Rhodes to fence it there, go to the gunsmith in Rhodes and buy a varmint and a Springfield rifles, rescue the chained boy in the gunsmith's basement and grab the Lancaster repeater. Then you do the missions up to and including Hosea's trip to hunt the legendary bear so you can unsaddle horses and start hunting legendary animals. Then you have everything you need to roam and become stronger.

If you want a fast horse just go to St Denis and steal the black Arabian. The red chestnut in Big Valley, or the brindle near wapiti. So much variety but all any one talks about is the white arabian lol. Andalusian is my favorite breed personally and there’s a free one up near Annesburg. And in case someone here doesn’t know you can get a free horse from any stable by entering a stable with a wagon. Equip your mask and start shooting so that you become wanted. Start feeding your desired horse and run before the law comes. It will become your secondary horse. Good video though

When you get those elixirs to boost your stamina health and deadeye once you drink the elixirs, does it permanently boost all of your stats?

Forget traveling across the map for ginseng elixir and valerian root to improve health and deadeye. Simply go to the mansion near Van Horn. In the mansion are two robbers sleeping and wit $50 on the table. Use tomahawks to take out each robber. Pick up the $50. Then save and reload. Keep repeating that procedure to increase your funds and health and deadeye. For stamina, simply run as fast as you can to the mansion after each reload. And by the way, to gain max honor early in the game, simply piss off sheriff Malone in Valentine until he points his gun at you. Surrender. He will arrest you and throw you in a cell until morning. After your release, piss him (or his deputy) off again, surrender, get arrested….Keep doing that until max honor is gained.

If you stable the white Arabian horse before Arthur’s story is over, it will respond in the same location again for John. I’m not sure if anyone else has figured this out

Getting the free Schofield from the doctors in Valentine, The Lancaster repeater from the basement of the gun shop in Rhodes and the semi Auto shotgun from the old lady west of wallace station are must do early game, you can also get the warped brindle arabian up near the Wapiti reserve or the black Arabian hitched not far from the tailot in St Denis at night. also getting some of the gold bars early to upgrade your free guns and get teh gerden vaquero saddle and stirrups. and doing the first herbalist challenge (pick 6 yarrow) to unlock the offhand hulster to carry two revolvers/pistols early are all things I do as early as possible for a great head start along with the legendary buck for perfect pelts for the satchel

The first thing I do is go to Limpany and get the gold from the sheriffs. Then I go to Rhodes and sell the gold.

As I enter chapter 2, I complete 4 Challenge openers to get the reinforced equipment, grab gold bars from Limpany, train wreck and statue cave, cash in at Saint Denis, snag the free Lancaster at Rhodes, get the free Bolt Action from the Sean rescue mission, fully upgrade the Ledger options, buy the Varmint rifle if you haven't got it for free already...then hunt your way to the Legends of the East Satchel and camp upgrades.

I also save every possible side mission for John - so he has something to do.

White Arabian horse will spawn again if you get it killed somehow. Don't worry. You just have to break it again near the lake.
