Processed sugar and flour contain no vitamin C.
A great source of scurvy!

Old Cookbooks in Norway contain lists of vitamin c in meat from different cuts and animals. But after 1960 it’s gone. I’ve never found out why.

I experienced scurvy when I worked for an international environmental/marine protection NGO that was totally vegan. We were around the Antarctic chasing whalers on a ship. After while I started to taste blood all over my mouth…
Now complete carnivore for over 10 months, no sign of scurvy 😊 and excellent health.

If I was pushing junk food for my business, Meat is the last thing I want to admit that is healthier than the reconstituted garbage that is sold. Carnivores know meat is good because they feel the difference compared to a high carb diet.

If you don't consume carbs you don't need much vitamin c anyways

I started a meat forward diet recently and the energy I have now is wonderful. Don’t feel the need to nap after eating.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant. If you don't eat a lot of already oxidized foods, you don't need crazy amounts of vitamin C.

Excellent. We can now direct doubters to this video and its clear explanation. Vit C is in just the right amount.

Vitamin C requirements are less for those not consuming a bunch of plant foods. Additionally, if you take too much vitamin C, it can actually create oxalates, so ease up on the supplements.

It turns out fresh beef has vitamin C - about 16 mg/kilo (2.2 lbs) in grain-fed meat and 25 mg/kilo in grass-fed meat. It shows that on a standard western diet 10 mg vitamin C per day prevents scurvy and I think it's possible that in carnivores the need is less.

Meat is and has always been a decent source for vitamin c. Fruits and vegetables are pushed more for that because its generally cheaper by weight, it encourages fiber intake, and meat is higher in saturated fat. Thats not to say you should only get vitamin c from plant sources, but just putting out information.

Also, before people say im a stupid vegan or something like that, i eat plenty of meat. I just know how to do my own research (reading actual studies) and generally take everything i see online with a grain of salt.

Horse meat & blood, it's what Genghis Khan & the Mongols ate while on the warpath and conquered the largest landmass in human history.

I'm only 30 days into carnivore, should I stop all supplements now, or are there some I still need?

I am assuming the Vitamin C in red meat is also way more bio-available than any 1000mg vitamin tablet.
