Business Insider asked two high-risk OBGYN’s to debunk 25 of the most common pregnancy myths. They explain that pregnant women don’t need to eat twice as much, there is no safe amount of alcohol to drink during pregnancy or while you’re breastfeeding, and cocoa butter does not prevent stretch marks. They further explain that there is currently no food, supplement, or physical activity that can help induce labor.

Ah yes thanks. As a 16 yr old guy, I will note to not drink alcohol when I am breastfeeding my newborn child.

As someone who isn't pregnant these were very useful facts for my imaginary child.

I could listen to intelligent women speak for hours it's so impressive and admirable considering how I'm about as smart as a piece of toast

One lady judged me for ordering coffee once. She was like “I hope you don’t miscarry”. I wasn’t even pregnant, just bloated

I was breech and they turned me around. I turned myself back around. I was determined to come into this world ass-first.

I'm Caribbean. Spicy is our middle name. No pregnant woman from home would get to term if spicy food induced labor.

“I don’t think anyone should be eating hotdogs, frankly.” ... Unintentional pun? 🧐

Thank you for making these videos. As someone who has been through fertility with no luck and adoptions and is now pregnant for the first time at 40, this is very helpful!

“Pregnant women shouldn’t drink coffee”
“That’s a myth”
*Pregnant women liked that*

I love the way the one OB/GYN looks at the other with such admiration. They seem to agree on all these topics and I just really love how much they support each other.

To all the pregnant women. Just take care of yourself during and after your pregnancy. Take time to yourselves. It’s ok to ask for help. I didn’t take very good care of myself after and as a result I developed a thyroid disorder. You bring a life into this world but don’t forget about yourself. It’s easy for a mother to do that.

Ive been having TERRIBLE morning sickness but the lemon thing she talked about is so trueee. I thought I was about to throw up again, but I took a lemon and started sucking on it and it was relieved immeditaly. For mamas out there struggling with the same thing: *LEMONS*

When she said water makes you sick I literally screamed out YES! I felt so validated. I’m trying to stay hydrated but when I try to drink water it just makes me feel so gross.
