Enough Brightness on an LG 27GS95QE 27" 240hz OLED in the Daytime?

Is there enough brightness overall on the LG 27GS95QE 27" 1440p 240hz OLED gaming monitor? Daytime, Nightime or an RGB filled room these GS LG versions can handle all lighting in many scenarios.

While these OLED gaming Monitors looks amazing and best in dark settings.. 2024 LG MLA+ panels now can handle all room lighting. Today, I show a worst case scenario as the room setting os Daytime with the Sun light filling the room. The LG 27GS95QE has no problems displaying a viewable OLED image in this worst case setting..

My big worry is the high briteness mentioned in darker games. My oled tv has these very bad dark vertical lines in darker scenes when briteness is set on high😡

I paid 730€ for it and nothing to complain tbh. I didnt tinker with the settings at all, cause I use profile X for that and another default profil for z. It does the job and thats it. Also the matte coating is like "whats the big deal?" I had a ta panel before also matte coating so its nothing new, atleast for me.

Great video, I just get the same one 3 days ago for the price of 1.000 Euro, direct from LG website. Now I am trying to figure out how to set up my xbox series x and this monitor together to get the good image etc. It's my first monitor ever, please share some tips if you have. I had this monitor but have since upgraded to alienware 4k oled, let me tell you the brightness on the lg is perfectly fine and its now at a great price i paid £1000 at release id reccomend it to anyone, the hysteria around the brightness is not justified its perfectly fine for most users my usage was mainly gaming so my opinion is based on that.

I normally agree with your opinions Vik, but I gota disagree in terms of this being the “best 27” woled monitor”. Now that the Rtings review of the xg27aqdmg is out, when you compare it side by side to this GS, both SDR and HDR brightness are higher on the XG, most likely due to having MLA+ tech. In addition, the XG has an ELMB mode and option to reduce vrr-flicker, at the cost of some stutter.

HDTV test also chose the XG as the best monitor when compared to the previous matte pg27aqdm and aw2725df in his latest review.

Hi, I bought the monitor and had to return it cuz grainy and dirty effect and also, black vertical lines. I ask, why don't you talk about that dirty and grainy effect that is common in W-Oled panels with matte coating?

I am really now debating between waiting an few years and buy an ultra wide 8k oled with 4k screen split. Or to buy 4k 27 inch on 2025. Or just buy now something when the ps5 pro arrives. I really want an lg gs45. I found an channel that showcased only gameplay about that. And I am sold about the 39 or the 45. I just want to go for the 45. Because I want to use it for productivity next to ps5 pro or 6 in the future. That being said the ps5 pro will probably still not have 4k native so maybe 1440p is enough. And then I start to think again between this 27gs or the 39gs, 45gs. I prefer woled over qd oled. Because of my light circumstances and the Blacks.

The 39 gs and 45gs support 32 inch at 16:9. But black borders daily is probably not healthy. Then I am better off with 27 inch or lg 32gs.

If that is not making the it hard already then I am actually sold on the Alienware his design and earc support port for an sonos arc setup.

Now seeing this 27 inch at 1440p. It is actually good enough already and for 500-600 an steal. Still. The ultra wides become super quick in sale. The 39gs is cheaper then the 32gs crazy. The 32gs has 4k. But still. Ultra wide on console support would be an nog brainer. Then i definitely want to buy the 45gs.

So then I am again at the debate of an 32gs or 45gs at 16:9 32 inch aspect with borders.

Damn can’t wait to see your other videos. This gameplay was clean to be honest. But don’t forget to showcase true graphical games or big open world games to see how it looks on such an small screen. Because the 32gs was the perfect size especially with the option of 27 inch softwarematically. But then it is 1080p again.
