Thank you for the update! Hopeful to see an Asus 27" Swift Rog 240Hz OLED review in the future.

Thanks for the updated testing, would be great if this will continue for future products aswell, like the upcoming oled g9

LG did a great job. Like what stops them selling a flash light as a monitor with 2000 nits brightness with only a single color, yes, but it's bright.

Thanks for the follow-up! 🙏🏻

I started the update about 2hrs ago and it's still on 95%... 🤭

Probably a bit late but the update also changes the Black Stabilizer. Prior to the update it would increase in +10 increments only. Post update, it now increases in +5 increments and also seems to have a higher saturation point overall ie my pre update setting was at 60, post update I had to move it to 70 to get the same effect.

Seems we're 1-2 panels away from a reliable oled experience on desktop with
1. pixel refreshing to further reduce burn in
2. rgb stripe alignment to have proper clear text rendering
3. Some brightness improvements to offset people that will both consume games/media and work in a semi lit environment (possibly with better coating)

Great Video! Finally confirmation on nits difference as I too only see 8-15nits increase on Vivid mode with the new firmware.

is there any more update on this monitor after a year? its cheaper that its competitor in our country, like aroud $200-300 cheaper with the same panel like the Asus PG27AQDM, is it still a better deal to get this on 2024 despite the newer models are coming? the price tag is around $750 here and the Asus is $1k-1.1k.

Best monitor I’ve ever owned. I always play in a dark room so brightness isn’t an issue, it’s perfectly bright enough and I don’t see why everyone is obsessed with brightness 😂 also can’t even notice the matte finish at all. People just love to moan

Hey Tim, I heard that the overshoot issues have been fixed with this firmware. Would be interesting to see response times retested

Speaking of the looong firmware update, it took 2 hours 10 minutes for me. I can't imagine why it should take so long. There can't really be a good reason for it. The first 50 percent went by in a few minutes. The last 50 percent absolutely crawled. I hope any future updates don't have the same problem. >_<

Guys, it is bright enough. I bought it even after watching these negative reviews. Its all about the settings, afterwards its amazing. Mostly play CS GO and you barely feel any input lag. Love it so far.

When are you guys getting the Asus PG27AQDM? I hope to god it works like it's supposed too

I have sensitive eyes and Peak Brightness makes me cringe! Aside from the WOLED issues, I prefer the PG42UQ! I never have to adjust the brightness, aside from uniform brightness @ 59 Brightness for desktop.

For me this is a blessing that his particular monitor isn't super duper bright.

Any new Firmware Update for the 27GR95QE? I love the firmware update videos! And I am going to buy a 27GR95QE, wish there is more firmware update coming to make this monitor better!

You can continue using the monitor even while updating it so it wasn't that bad. I was afraid I broke something though before I talked to a couple of people and saw it work fine.

Thanks for the updated review. I'll be holding off on this and the Asus PG29AQDM which has it's own set of issues. Maybe 2024 will bring the monitors we deserve.

They have to update each led individually, that is why it takes so long

I found that CPC enable set off and LEA refreash enable set to OFF in service menu is crucial settins for this monitor. Can you make another video about these settings and hopefully LG will include these settings in menu for next firmware. Thanks!

Hi,

Will you review the Asus rog PG27AQDM and compare it with the LG ?

I bought the LG and I do like it, also so no changes after the update. I really like it but I have to admit, it's unfortunate that HDR is just not usable daily since a full white window (when I work) is extremly dim in that mode... I don't understand why it's this way since it can get a lot brighter when you reduce the window size...
