Heavy Train Attacks Steep Hill! Grain, Rock & Lumber Train, Short Line Railroading At Its Best Pt2
Показать описание
Train Gets Run At Hill! One Of The Heaviest Trains Ever On Short Line Railroad Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. Both locomotives running long hood forward ( in reverse ) pulling heavy cars that are all loaded. 1st section is loaded grain cars, then a couple of loads of lumber and then loaded rock cars are on the rear. The train had just done railroad switching at the grain spur in Winchester, Ohio, worked the lumber siding in Peebles and switched the quarry in Plum Run, Ohio.
First we see the train westbound attacking the grade that runs up to Kline Road which is between Sardinia and Mount Orab, Ohio. Listen to the awesome horn and sound of the SD40-2d working hard at track speed. That was awesome!
Then we see the train at the railroad crossing on Eastwood Road which is on the west end of Mount Orab. This is only a couple miles from the county line of Brown and Clermont. Notice the old siding that has been partially removed. This siding is still in use as a maintenance of way storage track. At one time it was a much longer siding with connections at both ends.
After a quick look at Norfie and Chessie we see a quick shot of the train attacking Williamsburg Hill going past the old Norfolk & Western Railway color position lights. The train didn't make it over that hill and had to be cut into two pieces. Don't miss Part 1 which shows that! I posted Part 1 just a few days before Part 2.

Thanks for watching! If you have time, please watch another video of mine to help keep my channel going. Every view helps support my channel. Viewing time helps pay for gas, motels, rental cars etc. I have a list of places that I plan on filming so watch another video of mine if you have the time.
