Old Locomotives Work Hard On Steep Grade & Up High On Girder Bridge, Rusty Rails Before & After!

Train Works Hard On Steep Grade & Way Up High On Curved Girder Trestle! Rusty rails before and after train. Short line railroad action in Ohio on Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. The train crosses a huge trestle over the river in Batavia, Ohio then we see it crest the steep grade at Summit Rd in Batavia. Awesome view of the classic locomotives coming around the sharp curve at the top of the hill. We see what a train does to rusty track up close before and after. I get a lot of requests for closeups of the rail so here it is again. Trains don't normally run on the weekends here and the day before they were working west of here so this is a four day rust. Farther east on the line the tracks have more rust since they don't get as much use so maybe I can show that also. The 14 car train in this video has cars for several customers including the box cars for Huhtamaki and the covered hopper car for Mt Carmel Group. The tank cars were storage cars and I think the open hoppers are for the quarry. I filmed this on December 8, 2020. If you want to see more of this railroad just check out one of my playlists for them or consider joining my FaceBook Group. I created a FaceBook group for this railroad that I call Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Fans. It is a very active group and I am on it a couple times a week. I put material there that is not in my videos. Thanks for watching!
Please thumbs up and watch another JawTooth video to help my channel.

Check out my steam train playlist for some really cool videos including the Big Boy! I also have other railroad videos of all types including short lines, street runners and cabooses in action. Please watch another video to help support my channel:

I never would’ve thought a train was expected to come through when first looking at those rails. Really neat the train came through!

Good to see the engineer waving as he goes by. Will the CCET get a new customer when the Purina plant opens up?

Thanks Mr. Jaw Tooth, loved seeing the train cross over the trestle. Nothing like shinning up the old rusty rail!

Saw something interesting today at my local railroad stop. A commuter train that normally has one engine and 4 cars, had an extra locomotive. Never seen that before. It was the old number one as they call it. It's a freight locomotive. Usually used on repair trains. Pretty rare sight...

My Great Grandfather's house and saw mill sat right there next to that trestle, coincidentally he also worked over 30 years at the Pennsylvania Railroad. Very cool.
