How am I supposed to Review a Movie (which is FAIR USE) if every time I upload a video it's flagged and I have to go through the whole process each time of disputing a few second clip???? Jeez if YouTube wants Movie Critics to go away then just say so. I really feel that YouTube is moving away from independent creators and more towards commercial creators that work for large companies. I hear more and more creators just giving up their channels because of things like this. It's frustrating and just sad. But that is also the way of the world.

I always upload my videos private or unlisted first just to check a copyright for music and for several hours or even days no copyright/ content ID claims appears. So once I think im in the clear and set to public the claim wants to show up. 😠

I got a copywrite claim for 2 songs by a singer called al bowlly he died in 1940 so 83 years ago the songs are from 1935 88 years ago. I thought that you could only copywrite a song for 70 years. one of the claims says they are claiming the copywrite for al bowlly but this is a guy who died in the London blitz

I have a couple of videos, which I shot out on location. On both videos, there are snippets of songs playing on the radio. One is by P!nk and one is by Nightwish. They are only tiny snippets. Would this cause any problems for me, when uploading the videos?

Josh, Does YouTube frown upon using copyrighted songs in a Creator's videos, even when the Creator has no intention on disputing the Copyright Claim(s)?
In a few of my videos, I have combined visuals from a video game with a copyrighted song(s). I know the video will get copyright claimed (and they did) for the song(s) by the music company, which I am fine with and I do not dispute them. I was just trying to create a fun video with songs that match the visuals. Even though I am not disputing the claims, does YouTube frown upon this and not like it when I create such videos? If so, should I delete those videos from my channel (i.e. I do not want to get in trouble with YouTube)?
