I never put Content ID on my music for two reasons

1: It costs extra recurring money

2: I remember reading in an official YouTube thing that Content ID owners can get in trouble for false Content ID claims — which makes sense and is great but the problem with this is that most Content ID claims are made automatically by YouTube itself, so there’s a strong possibility YouTube makes a mistake and then in true YouTube style punishes you for it

Hey Pete, I got a question for you so basically I’m gonna be distributing a song I made on GarageBand but it’s only using the loops and no vocals etc and the song is long and just wondering would that be ok to distribute on all streaming platforms? Content ID is one of the worst thing in internet, it should be banned from use, sadly even EU seems to like it.but in reality it does not protect rights of content creators
