Probably the biggest comment i have is that you recommended 256 gb iPad Air. In my head, wouldn’t adding an extra 50$ for a 128 gb iPad Pro 11” be better? You get the pro motion which honestly really makes a difference for most people.

I find this type of day-in-the-life overview of how you actually use the computer to be much more helpful than the traditional review that's focused on tech specs. This provides a greater insight into what the actual advantages and disadvantages are for the new iPad Air. The 2018 12.9" iPad Pro has been my primary (nowadays, only) computer since it came out, and for the last week I've been wondering if perhaps the new iPad Air could replace the big iPad Pro for me. I'm still not sure I would like that change when it comes time for me to upgrade, but this video gave me a clearer picture of what that change would look like than anything else I've seen or read so far. Definitely a fan of this kind of usage-focused review!

I think as long as you can handle 60hZ, you’ll be fine 😃
Went from Pro to new Mini, love it. Definitely not a fan of 60hZ, but the form and function for mini for me justifies that lack of 120hZ for me easily, even if it is a major loss of feature coming from an iPad Pro

A month is probably enough time to let the novelty wear off and see if it’s really better than the Pro. My wife has an Air and I find the lack of 120hz immediately noticeable and off-putting.

I also prefer TouchID, some people seem to assume that everyone wants FaceID. I was concerned about 120hz versus 60hz but I am only going to be note taking. Decision is clear.. iPad Air it is.

You know that bit of cardboard the iPad is wrapped in? You can unfold the cardboard wings at the back and that releases the plastic shrink wrap, and you can get the iPad out. It’s a really elegant solution, and saves you need to use a knife.

I got the iPad Pro 11 inch over the air for the 120 Hz screen. I can’t go back to 60 Hz.

Looks awesome but the price of 256GB makes it pointless. 64GB is not enough and if you decide to go for 256GB it is better to choose Ipad Pro 128GB which has similar price.

Interesting take.
For me the new iPad Air sits in a really weird spot.
The base model is certainly interesting, for people who are fine with 64 GB and just want to get into the iPad experience.

But if one wants to get more storage, the price is comparable to the base model iPad Pro 11".
For me, 128GB is plenty and additionally I would get ProMotion (which I really don't want to miss anymore), a better camera system (not that I really use my iPads camera, but still, it's there), Stereo speakers (which I personally think are HUGE, love them on my 2017 iPad Pro) and Thunderbolt and Face ID.
I'd trade 128GB of more storage for all of those features any day.

The part I don’t understand is when you said that there was a week where you had the 11 inch ipad pro and said nope and went back to the 12.9 inch but now you are saying the ipad air is good for you? What? Why didn’t you like the 11? Just want to understand

So you switched because….your work flow changed. Not because it is better but because it is smaller. This doesn’t seem like an actual review of the 2022 iPad Air. It’s more a review of your preference for a smaller machine. Perhaps you should have tried something different a long time ago. Glad you like the blue though….

The promotion for artists is something necessary. Then there’s the size (12.9 iPads are better to draw with reference on the side comfortably). Even an old iPad Pro 2020/2018 are better than the new air M1 (FOR ART) because of hardware features like these.

Honestly this video makes no since to me. First it was the 11” then the 12” iPad Pro and now the 10.9” Air (you can get a Pro for close to the same price and it has better specs). I understand new tech excitement but is the cost spend all the time on this worth it?
