According to Consumer Reports, the Toyota Camry has been a very reliable vehicle over the years. Only model years, 2018-2019 had an indication of fuel system issues and the recall may likely be addressed already. No vehicle is perfect so far.

If you'll shop for a non-hybrid sedan, the Toyota Camry sedan is one of the best affordable sedans on the market that get great gas mileage and has plenty of interior room. Its price is a step above the base LE and a step below the XLE model at around $30K. You'll get some nice needed options like 19" alloy wheels, and Softex seating without breaking the car budget at the same time.

The vehicle in this video is our new spare vehicle to be passed down to my kid when he is off to college. This vehicle is likely to be very reliable, comfortable, and low-cost to own and maintain. Not only it's a great commuter, a family vehicle, but it's also a great vehicle for new drivers. Visibility out of the A, B, and C pillars is great so it makes driving and backing up a breeze. Our insurance is pretty low and all it needs mostly is gas in the first few years of ownership. Parts are plenty given it's a mass-produced vehicle so repairs in the future shouldn't be too expensive also.
