I have a 2013 Sonata SE with 148, 000 miles. I've never had any issues. The only times I've had it back at the dealership was for a few safety recalls. All maintenance has been fluid changes and filters with local independent mechanics. It still has the original hoses and belts!

We've been driving a 2012 Hyundai i40 station wagon since it was new, and just hit 400, 000 KM on it. The car is luxurious and comfortable, and still runs and drives like new and has been absolutely no trouble whatsoever since the day we purchased it. Hyundai and Kia have really become among the best car brands in the industry these days.

Kia has had the most amazing transformation I think I’ve ever witnessed…Hyundai has to be second. These companies keep out-doing themselves year after year with their new models

Korean dude here. I'm sort of shocked (in a good way) that Scotty put this video together. Really appreciate the kind words about our two car manufacturers. It's really a point of national pride for me, especially competing with the more established brands from Japan and Germany. Thank you, Scotty!

I grew up around Hyundais and Kias. My mum and Aunt had Hyundais and my uncle a Kia. They were all bought new in 2011 and are still going strong. These companies have a soft place in my heart and have continued to evolve over the years. I will always love Hyundai!!

As 2021 Hyundai Sonata owner, I can say it's hands down my favorite car I've driven. My brother bought a 2022 Toyota Camry for the same price and the Hyundai is miles ahead in tech/features. My dealership even though in a free bumper to bumper 150, 000mi/10yr warranty. I will definitely be using that up.

personally i think that the reason these two companies do so well is because of the amount of “luxury” features that come stock. you get so much for such a cheap price. i have a 2021 elantra and it looks and feels like a luxury vehicle

Whoever did the rebranding of Kia deserves a raise. Sporting a logo that looks like that with a car exterior like that and those internal features.. not gonna lie, looks mighty attractive. And "K5" is also just an excellent name

I gave away a 2009 Kia Spectra that had 380k miles on it a month ago. I bought it new. In all that time the only part that was ever changed was the oil filter during regular oil changes. Never broke down once and still uses less than a quart of oil between oil changes every 5k miles

Bought a 2013 Kia Soul a while back as my first car. Didn’t take as good of care of it as I should but it still lasted 130k miles without needing anything more than regular maintenance. The steering did get a little stiff towards the end and it was leaking/burning oil but would still be enough for 5k miles. Bought a 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz and for the price of what it included it’s great. Great warranty, basically every feature I would want (my trim doesn’t have adaptive cruise control) and it’s running great. Lots of people told me not to get Kia or Hyundai because they used to be poop, but now they are great cars for a good price.

I had a Hyundai Sonata, I loved driving it, loved the interior, the room. Just hated having to get it fixed often. But I recently got in a serious car accident and it’s safety features saved my life.

I can’t say anything bad about Hyundai. I bought new, a 2001 Elantra GT with manual 5 sod and literally drove the crap out of it. I taught my two teenage sons to drive with this car and they drove the crap out of it as well. Other than tires, brakes and a water pump failure at 100k miles it served us well. I ended up selling it to my mechanics son in 2011 who continued the tradition of driving the crap out of it.

I’ve had my 2011 Sonata base model since 2017 when I bought it at about 94, 000 miles. It has about 164, 000 miles now and has NEVER given me issues and I do Uber and DoorDash occasionally. I do scheduled oil changes, etc. the only thing I remembered was like 2 years ago the battery died but that’s obviously an easy fix. I love my car! The only thing that I would say terrible with Hyundai is anything having to do with the LIGHTS. The taillights are ALWAYS going out and burning out

I bought my wife a new 2020 Kia Telluride last yr and it’s the first Kia we have ever owned. After 15 months of ownership? We have no regrets. It has had absolutely no issues and is a very striking vehicle, you will not mistake it for anything else so it’s looks are very distinctive and the 3 row seating was a big motivation in our choice for hauling Grandkids around !

I have bought 4 Kia's since they first came out in mid summer 2011. Great looking styling and great gas mileage . Never had
a major problem with any of them. Kia works for Me
