Watch Before You Buy A 2022 Toyota Camry

What's New for 2022: The 2022 Camry gets a series of small changes. The LE and SE with gas engines get standard dual-zone automatic climate control, three selectable drive modes, and dual sun visors with illuminated mirrors. All LE and SE trims are equipped with heated side mirrors with turn signals. This year also marks the debut of the SE Hybrid Nightshade trim.The 2022 Toyota Camry is a midsize sedan with plenty of room for five passengers. It has something for everyone with 13 trims that include two gas engines, a hybrid engine, and a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. No matter which you choose, the Camry is focused on passenger comfort with a welcoming interior swathed in attractive materials throughout. While some sedans have minimal rear-seat room, the Camry can comfortably seat three adults back there. It boasts a wide range of standard safety features along with a comprehensive infotainment system. Downsides are an underpowered base engine and a small trunk that makes it difficult to accommodate luggage for those five adults.

Other popular choices in the midsize-sedan segment include the Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, and Hyundai Sonata. The Altima has fewer trims with similar pricing and a less powerful engine. The Accord provides better fuel economy and more room for cargo. The Sonata has similar pricing and a lineup that includes both gas and hybrid engines. The Toyota Camry is a fuel-efficient and roomy sedan that easily accommodates five adults. Its wide variety of trims range from luxurious to sporty. But the trunk is only average, and its base engine is underpowered.

Unless things change they might not depreciate that much. I paid $14, 200 for my 2014 Toyota Corolla with 19, 000 miles on it in 2017. When I took it in for it's 40, 000 mile service a few months ago I was offered $16, 500 for it. Currently it's not uncommon for a ten year old Corolla with over 100, 000 miles to cost $20, 000. Used cars are costing almost as much as a new one.

In Kazakhstan those cars only appreciate in value. The older they get, more expensive they go. They are about 40K$ now. Basically the best investment you can do here. If you want to sell Camry, come to Kazakhstan.

I got an LE last fall, and it’s selling used for $10k over what I paid (MSRP).

In 2024 hard to find one under $20k with under 50k miles…so what happened?

Well I got lucky. I paid $16, 000 for my 2018 in 2019 my trade in value is now more than what I paid for it 3 years ago..

ok so you are totally wrong about the depreciation value. you are trying to predict the future. the simple fact is there is no where near enough new camrys in the last 2 years to meet the demand of the new car market and that means in 5 years there will be no where near enough used camrys to fill the used car market. it will not depreciate 49% you're just wrong about that.

None of these figures are accurate in the current market since shortages everywhere are pricing things into the stratosphere, new or used. Of course, this will change to reflect the 'normal reality' you present, but probably not until 2023.
