If Russia continues to sustain losses in Ukraine at the current level, it’ll run out of combat vehicles before it can stake its claim to contested Ukrainian territory. Check out today's epic new video, which takes a deeper look into Russia's losses against Ukraine and why weapons manufacturers can't keep up with the substantial demand for new equipment for the front lines.

Losing veteran tank crews and time to train new replacements is a bigger problem than replacing equipment in my opinion.

It’s always safer to over estimate Russia. Overestimation gave us the F-15 😂

A quote from Back to the Future comes to mind - "Hey, I've Seen This One!"

The fact Russia was attacking Ukrainian positions with golf carts recently should also be mentioned

Misleading title: Shovels do not run out of ammo.

The power of military equipment is insignificant compared to the power of the shovel. 😂🤣

Oryx lists losses that they can individually document. It is not an estimate, it is a lower limit. It can not be fewer losses than Oryx counts, it is more if any losses happened without anybody documenting them in pictures.

They dont need APCs, they now use golf carts and motorcycles. Ivan is clever 😎

some days ago: Russia will fight a total war against NATO
now: Russia is out of ammo (against one of the weakest countries in the continent)

infographics show makes me confused...

You are misinterpreting Minusrus. The larger number they are reporting is the number of equipment available in active service at the start of the invasion. NOT total equipment overall. It does not include the large stockpile of equipment in storage.

Underestimating your enemy is a fatal flaw in 100% of cases.

Iran, North Korea, China is supporting Russia. Russia is also switched to war economy. As long as russian people wont die in hunger they will produce military equipment.

Russia was using ww2 tanks and other obsolete equipment that were probably not accounted in their baseline inventory count but when these are destroyed they are advertised as destroyed Russian vehicles by Ukraine.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Russia ain't going to run out of ammo. Their entire economy is switching to war-time mode for the foreseeable future. They don't need to have the latest and most advanced weaponry to continue the war, just lots of basic munitions and armaments which they can produce in vast numbers.

With the appointment of Belousov as new defence minister, Putin has made a tactical move. Belousov isnt a military guy, and he doesn't have to be. He's a technocrat with a speciality in economic management. His job is going to be to ensure that the troops at the front have a constant supply of ammo, and act as a liaison between the army and the government. And in this role, I think he'll be quite successful.

I'm definitely not pro-Russian, just looking at it objectively.

to speak to minusrus's weird layout, the 'total' listed on that site is for what Russia had 'active' in their army pre-war, and did not include those held in storage. For example, for tanks it would be 3000 active, and around 10, 000 combat ready including those held in storage. I wonder if it was due to a translation error or something that it ended up being shown the way it is.

0:40 the monthly production figures for APC are refurbishments of older vehicles that were in storage. When they run how, producing new brand new vehicles will be very hard, because they need a lot of resources to produce everything like APC, tanks, artillery, etc. That requires ww2 levels of production.

also when you renovate old equipment you start with those in best condition - each time you go to the well you have to dig deeper thus the last 1000 will be in terrible condition and v complicated to renovate
