“I don’t know what they would be concerned about because they aren’t here, but we have agreed to make decisions together. “

It is good to see these videos, it helps to be prepared against aggressive sales people.

Sometimes people are too polite to say no when they are genuinely aren’t interested.

It’s best to be upfront and get them to state their real hesitation or if they are tire kickers. I always ask the prospect “this is an important decision and of course you need time to think about it, but I need to know if you are genuinely interested and please be honest” then long pause and let it hang

"Is it a cash flow issue" just feels like one of the most condescending things you could say to a person.

The best way to to shut down a sales person who is obnoxiously aggressive like this - you simply say "I'll let you know." If they ask a follow-up question you simply say "Like I said, I'll let you know" and walk away. If they keep asking you just say the same thing and move on. If they keep pursuing they look silly.

"Partner? What would they be concerned about if they were in this room?"
"I won't know until I speak with them, which is what I'm willing to do. If you insist on rushing me for a decision we're done, at least for the day."

I got one for him - "get the f*** off my porch" lol tough to fight through that one.

"What would they be concerned about?"

I don't know, that's why I would like to clear it with them

Maybe it's just me but this kind of aggressive questioning when someone is selling me something immediately raises red flags for me even if I was already partially considering buying it in the first place. I value a vendor who is so confident in whatever they're selling that I won't feel like I'm being cornered into making a decision without thinking about it. If I faced this kind of questioning during a pitch I would end the meeting right then and there.

I once told one of those shoe-cleaners in the middle of the mall, “You’re a good salesman, but I’m an even better shopper. Nothing you can say will convince me to buy soapy water for $40.” He then resorted to guilt tripping, saying I should buy it just to help out his small business 😂

I see what you are doing, but there's an even easier way to close people.

I have worked in Fortune 500 Telecom, and done 1000's of sales over the phone.

If they want to speak with their partner.

Just let them do it.

It mess with their head, because they expect you to push.

In fact, you can even take away the deal.

When you pull away, they start to push you.

By being offered a deal, they feel they have received the offer.

So if you remove the offer, the brain respond with feeling of losing a possession.

You can even go like:

"I'm not gonna pressure you, get back to me when you are ready to transform your life/business/project."

So when that window guy came to my home with all his smooth talk it came from you. 😂
I still didn't choose to purchase from them.

I love all these sales videos recommended to me. They show me that me hating all sales people and only paying and buying what I‘m exactly looking for. Did this multiple times to sales people straight up told them what I wanted. Once I wanted my washing machine cheaper and the women said „Sorry can‘t do that.“ And I just said „Ok thats it. Have a nice day and thank you for your time.“ She shakes my hand confused and then I went to a different store and got it at the price I wanted. Don‘t let these people manipulate your decision making. The gut feeling is mostly right.

“I don’t know, I need to speak to them to find that answer out.”

A valid stall would be to say, “I will first talk with my partner…we always extend consideration to one another. Seeking mutual concurrence in financial decision-making is one of our best practices.”
