I seem to do the best with rejection when I ask a girl out without seeing it coming. I am always the most confident during that too but rejection still happens. I asked a girl out a couple nights ago. She smiled and seemed very flattered. But she very politely turned me down by saying “hm well my work schedule is crazy so… I don’t know” all while maintaining eye contact and smiling with me. I smiled and looked her in the eye and said “okay… we’ll the door is still open for you” she giggled and said “okay hehe” I stayed and said a few more things to ease the tension (if there was any with her) and it was a rejection that went pretty okay. I wasn’t that hurt and we both were not awkward after. That’s how it should be!
