Degenerative Disc Disease is a scary thing to hear after getting an MRI or X-rays for lower back pain.

Doctors will mention the possibility of needing surgery eventually, especially if pain medications don’t improve the back pain much.

Understanding Degenerative Disc Disease really helps people begin to make small changes that over time make big improvements in their back problem.

And the truth is that most people with DDD can become pain free for the long term if they’re doing the right exercises.

In this video, we give you the explanation about DDD that you probably didn’t get at your doctor’s office.

I've been in so much pain the last 6 or even a year now. Went to see my primary physician ordered an xray and sure enough I have this problem of degenerative disc. She recommended a PT and Tylenol for pain. Your video here gave me hope and I look forward to following those exercises you've shared. Thank you Doctor for sharing.

I’m hoping I can get my old primary doctor in trouble with the medical board as she wouldn’t test me for problems bcus she “didn’t see a reason to test me from the appointment today”. I saw 5 other doctors and got diagnosed with DDD and a bone spur. I’m in pain and physical therapy helps but I hafta do it at least twice a week every single week until I die now or else I’m in pain….

Hello! This was great and I learned a lot. I have degenerative disc discase and never understood why those muscles in my mid-back go into spasm even though I know there are bone spurs in my low back. Thanks to you understand there is some fusion in my low back and the joints need to be manipulated. But I can't come to El Paso. What type of physical therapy should I seek? There are a number of physical therapy places near me, but none has "manual" in the title as the type they do. Thanks for any advice you might be able to give. I am approaching being unable to walk (can handle only a quarter mile then must have a long rest due to pain) so I am willing to do a lot if there is a way to fix this.

Kindly put light on OA hip as cause of DDD. Would hip replacement normalise back issues ???

Question, I had RFA on both sides for lower back ddd, and a few weeks later I had burning sensation in left thigh, hip and buttock. Dr said it was probably from traveling and put me on a steroid for 6 days. It's been a week since I finished, burning/feeling bruised is still there, better but there. Is this something that they have to repeat or on to next treatment?
