I just joined. Of all I watch…. You have the most energy and I love more than anything your ability to see every single issue in every single case to see many sides. To remind the reckless (yes reckless) Assoc Press or whatever shows meant to wind people up - create a real mob that knows before the trial, this guy is a monstrous killer. Thank God for you to bring everyone back to some reasonable objectivity cause the press ain’t gonna do it. They want to enrage and encircle a defendant who certainly has lots of problems. He (or she) needs a fair trial. You’re smart and quick. Seeing your dad yesterday—now i know where you get your strong voice and character and your goodness He looks like je is so proud of you. American sentiment is cyclical just like history. In the 1950’s there was a need for a defense attorney’s prospective —look at Perry. Mason The hero of the presumption of innocence. Our country had hardened to a fervent or indifferent “throw em in jail”. Through the late 80’s and 90’s here comes Nancy Grace and pretty outspoken almost hostile in their presumption of a monstrous suspect who obviously did it but watch out for slick defense attorneys. and this crusade to honor the victims of crimes and their. loved ones which meant in a simplistic mind — condemn the defendant! Now thanks to your balanced presentation because your mind is comfortable with the rule of law. You’re comfortable in your own skin being who you are. I’m more than proud of you —I remain in awe of all you give. Let right be done. (The Winslow Boy—wonderful movie, the bbc version. ).
Anyway praying for some truth. We’re Americans we can take it.

Retired history teacher. Loved teaching the Constitution. One of my favorite weeks was when students studied actual cases and made arguments using what they’d learned of the Constitution. (Then they learned how the cases were actually decided). Wish you had done these videos when I taught—they would have been good discussion topics!

I think keeping the gag order in place is a good idea… of course as a trial watcher, I want all the information I can get, but I also want a fair trial here and it is concerning that Dateline, with wide coverage, was aired right now.

I definitely agree with the gag order. Justice has to be done fairly and without prejudice. Media reporting on this horrific case has been non stop. The risk of contamination is high.

Considering the way the media has behaved in regards to this case, I think that they should continue both gag orders until the trial. BK, Kaylee, Maddie, Xana, and Ethan deserve to have a fair trial. As much as I want to know what evidence they have, I would rather wait until trial to learn that information so that justice can be served.

Hey! Wouldnt it make the most sense to continue gag order to avoid tainting the jury pool but then to allow cameras once trial commences? I dont see issues with that. Its a compromise and keeps the 6th protected. 🤷‍♀️

I think the fact that it IS a high profile case is why there should be cameras. I think how they are handling it with it on delay and distributed later is appropriate. The gag order is also appropriate to help ensure a fair trial. Doesn't stop a lot of the "tabloid" type of coverage, but that would be there with or without an order.

Peter you asked how we found you. I can’t exactly recall how but I know why I stay and come back. You present information with integrity and fairness. Plus I see you are a family man and that earns lots of respect points in my book. After watching this particular video I gained a better understanding of 1st amendment vs. 6th amendment rights and, as much of a personal bias I admit I have about this defendant, I do agree that he deserves a fair trial. I also think the judge is NOT going to allow cameras in the courtroom and audio might also be at risk. Keep up the good work Peter. Yours is one of the best law and crime channels out there.
