I've never heard anyone mention research on effects on cameras in courtroom. In 1986 I helped a grad student that taught my PY100 class run his subjects through a mock, recorded, trial that was reproducing an actual trial that had previously occurred.

I know Colorado State U couldn't be the only place that ever endeavored.

Basically when camera is known to be on jurors they didn't retain info as well as sans camera. Same may be for judges, attorneys.

They need to create universal rules for cameras in court rooms. In fact a court controlled webcam placed above the jurors so you see what they see would make sense to me. Audio input should only come from the court microphones

The judge don’t want the media to zoom into his face and analyze his facial expressions. Right after news nation does exactly that. This is probably why in the end no cameras will be allowed. Just stop it, we want live trial.

I think since it’s a DP case the defense should get everything they feel like they need. Someone’s life is on the line.

I want kohberger to get a fair trial. I would rather make sure he is absolutely guilty and the system is putting the right bad guy away. Too many unfair trials and innocents serving time and missing out on life.
