This is why despite knowing all these things, most people struggle to get to a low body fat percentage. And whether your goal is 15% body fat or 12% body fat (maybe even 10% body fat), it’s essential that you focus on mastering consistency and embracing the process over the long term.

In this video, I share 3 early signs that a plan probably won’t get someone to 15% body fat and below. “Show me someone’s 24 hours and I’ll tell you what results you’ll get”…… awesome way to look at things Mario, so powerful because of the results it can produce

What's crazy is how accurate this is. I kept telling myself that I could "eyeball" the amount of calories I was eating yet continued to stay at the same weight while occasionally gaining some. Once I legitimately started tracking my calories and macros the weight started flying off. I almost couldn't believe it. Found myself wondering why I hadn't done it sooner. The protein thing is no joke either...lost 43 lbs in the last six months and haven't lost the majority of the muscles I worked so hard to build. Such a good topic!

I’ve been doing this for a month now and he’s right, the experience has been eye opening for sure. It’s so easy to underestimate calories without tracking

Great coaching fundamentals here Mario! Love the analysis of "show me one 24 hour period behavior and I can predict the 6 mo results" because the long term results are just accumulation of the daily results and habits. So true.

I don't track my calories and i've pretty much always been below 15% body fat without conscious effort. I do not eat processed junk food.

Getting out of bed and having to go to work is annoying, but if you don’t do it you don’t get payed, ergo you won’t earn a living.
If logging their food intake is too much of a bother for someone (which really isn’t that big of an ask for most), I question their resolve in actually hitting their stated fitness goals whatever that may be.

Most people claim they want to look like this or that, yet what I’ve noticed is that most of these people only THINK that they do.
In reality what they really want is the accolades they think they will receive from looking a certain way, without actually having to put in the work. Maximum results with minimal effort. The vast majority of people that frequent gyms are like this.

100% agree and this is what I have always told other people. Track EVERYTHING AT LEAST INITIALLY OTHERWISE YOU JUST DON'T KNOW AND WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND EFFORT. And most people have the most willpower at the beginning of a new diet so they should ride that initial wave of motivation to track everything and do it properly which will garauntee you have a good first month of results... which in turn will motivate you to continue.

Well explained video, I went from 88.885kg down to 80.60kg in 9 weeks by paying attention to my caloric intake, 1st time in 62 year. My current body fat is 20.7% waist measurement is down from 103cm to 92cm, I am 183cm tall and my pot belly is just about gone. I eat 5 small meals a day with no more than 31g calories, 27g protein and 10.9g fat, the overall caloric intake is on or under 1, 654 calories. I am now looking at reducing my fat intake and upping my protein intake so as to allow my body to chew away at the stored fat that is still around my stomach and love handles so to speak. It's been a great journey without any cardio. Not that I don't like cardio, but I find that it is punishing and injuries set me back, so resistance training (weights within reason) is my next step when I up the protein intake. Thanks for your time and well explained video's, certainly changed my look.

I went from 149 to 89kg with just changing my lifestyle. You and Seans vids helped me an insane amount! From going to playing video games 10hrs a Day to walking 10-15k steps a Day and 5-6 days of weight traning! I feel like a whole new person. THANK YOU!

Tracking is such a key skill set! Our habits makes us and we make our habits. Great strategy, replicating our one really good day and enjoying the process vs obsession over the goal. Fail better! 💯💯 Always value! Thank you Mario.

I used to be a big boy, powerlifter with a shit caloric intake but high protein, swimming every day, but working 12 to 14 hour days as a heavy duty mechanic. 133kg but probably 30%

Now days I eat a good clean 1500 to 2000 a day, ride an hour to work and back and do 8 hours of hard labour at a freight depot, thousands of dynamic lifts a day. My skin is stretched at my age, and I'll never look ripped, at least for a while as the extra skin gets used up, but I am a God damned machine energy wise and despite the lack of definition I have tested under 12% at 95kg. Drs reckon I'm running fine tuned and healthy.

Don't give up, work hard and make these consistent long term changes. I made a spreadsheet with too many formulas because that's what it took. But I also had to be kind to myself. One stuff up doesn't mean throwing in the towel. You put it in the spreadsheet and you keep on trekking on. Through the deliberate persistence, as you said perfectly, of not letting any one thing stop the process that I've bettered my mindset and approach to hitting goals more than anything. My only disagreement is this, 24 hours can tell you a lot, but you have a whole life to master yourself.

That last bad diet combination of pizza, cakes and drinks made me think of the typical diet of a date and night out. So avoiding dating actually can translate directly to avoiding chances to easily ruin your diet.

Even if you slip up so badly that you’re expected to gain weight for the week, there’s only so much weight you’re able to gain in a single pass, no matter how many calories you pack down. A lot of excess calories will come out the other end without having been absorbed.

So even if you stumble and have a family-size super fatass deluxe Big Mac value meal at McDonald’s and shove 4000 kcal down your throat in 1 sitting, it’s not the end of the world. Get back on track and stick to it, and you’ll continue to see results.

Giving up and eating excessively day after day will undo everything you worked for fairly quickly. But one day where you let loose and pig out won’t actually have all that much of an impact if you get back on track immediately.

Although, if you’re about to lose yourself and destroy some fast food, take a big fiber supplement with plenty of water first, while you still have the presence of mind to do it. You can’t overeat if your stomach is already full, and you won’t crash quite as hard afterwards either.
