At the Roundtable Hold, there is a non-aggression pact that doesn't allow you to attack anyone there. However, with some modding, you can, and it's surprising that you can kill the Two Fingers! This is some neat unused/cut content!

I remember doing Varre’s quest and he was like “did the 2 Fingers seem odd to you” and i immediately said yes thinking he was gonna talk about how fucked up it is that they’re literally 2 fingers, no instead he talks about how they were corrupted and its like “oh okay we’re just not gonna question it are we? Not gonna ask at all?”

the guy at the start of the game if you continue to go down his questline he does tell you that he thinks the fingers got corrupted when the elden ring shattered

Playing the game and seeing the loading screen with Tanith and the guy that stands next to her I thought that those two were the two fingers. I did not expect literal two giant fingers of a monstrasity.

Just a theory, but on most controllers you use your fingers to control the character and everything that happens to them. Coincidentally two fingers for the combat and a lot of the movement and such if you play claw. In a part of the quest line of the white mask dude he says how "the fingers don't care about us, they just use us as playthings" or something like that. Maybe it was the developers take on a little bit of wordplay so to say. What with the character you play dying over and over again and following your guidance. So technically... would you the player be the fingers?? 😳

When I first got in the room I didn’t even know what that thing was. Later on I pieced it together and was like, “Jesus Christ... people worship this thing?” And made me want to go along with Ranni’s path even more...
