Melina Elden Ring | Should You Accept Or Refuse?

Melina offers you an accord early in the game and it's a very important decision because if you say no you cannot level up or get the horse mount. If you say no however it's not the end of the world as she will reappear every time you rest, so you can reconsider and give her the correct answer of yes.

Refuse. You don't need a magic horse, the option to level up, the ability to summon spirits to assist you in battle, access to a home base type thing and a large amount of quests.

For those new or don't know, Tarnished is not just you (the player). There have been many tarnished before you and each had a maiden to guide them. You however, lorewise, never got your own maiden. So if you still have doubts, not only can Melina be trusted and that she's willing to be an "acting" maiden, she herself *IS* an actual maiden.

You have to die once then she appears when you're resting . When you die against the boss at the castle .You get invited to the roundtable .

You should definitely accept Melina's accord I know Honda makes great accords.

At the second run, I haven't got this encounter and I would like to keep it that way. So far, she wouldn't appear inside of caves/dungeons. I would like to get to the erdtree without her. At Lv. 211, doing good.

i refused to her in my second playthrough (NG+) so currently im stuck at the capital city with 3 Greater Runes (all activated) and the city entrance says i need more Greater Runes, i think Your'e forced to accept her then, cause it seems there is no other way into the capital without speaking to some one at the round table. (the old hag at the Fingers)

If refusal runs aren't called : Elden ring( Maidenless run) they can't be taken into consideration.

It’s strange because I can’t help but wonder why would anyone refuse, it’s just pointless to. And if that’s the case then why offer the option. Not much of an option if progression is blocked, so perhaps there has to a reason to do so, something secret maybe?

what happens if you refuse her and meet another maiden can you get the ability to level up like of you meet therolina at the radman castle she is maiden can she give you the ability to level up
