In this clip, Joyce Meyer reflects on her school years and the fear that many students had of not being chosen for a team during gym activities, like softball. She describes the practice of selecting two captains who would then pick their teams, noting how the fear of being the last one picked, and thus feeling unwanted, was an intensely distressing experience. She admits that she still recalls the awfulness of that situation.

It was cruel, and the teachers should have known better .I was a kid but I knew then that it wasn't fair to some kids.
It was a good way to bring down selt esteem.

We had that way of choosing also! I was chosen last for most things unless it was spelling then I was chosen first. I still feel like I’m the last resort when it comes to family and friends. But I declare the last shall be first and the first shall be last. 😀

Been there, but praise God we ARE chosen by the King of Kings!!❤🙏 Man looks at our outer appearance, but God looks upon our heart. As a saying I've heard goes, it's not the dog in the fight, it's the fight in the dog! 😊🙌

Been there done that. I was the last person. The team leader that was to call out your name just looked at me and turned around and walked away. And if you skipped gym, the teacher would belittle you and say why would you skip gym? Gee. Let me guess.

I was a good athlete, and was always chosen first or second. I remember the looks on the faces of the last two or three kids, it used to bother me seeing them. Now I know and understand. I hurt for them abs wish I could have used my current wisdom then.
