Overcoming Fear of Abandonment - the root cause revealed so we can heal the root instead of endlessly fighting the symptoms.

Only when we know the real cause, we can heal the root and there for automatically liberate ourselves from every other FEAR OF ABANDONMENT-symptoms too, like jealousy, feeling powerless, moodiness, feeling dependant, feeling a victim, having a bad temper, feeling lonely, having relational problems etc.
Only if we know what the real root of the problem is, we will know how we can STOP OUR FEAR OF ABANDONMENT completely and for once and for all.
FEAR OF ABANDONMENT comes down to FEAR, fear for feeling what we would feel, without any distraction when we would be left alone with ourselves.
To end the root of the problem together with all it symptoms for once and for all, and there for to shine the light onto our ‘dark’ FEAR, I came up with a drawing to show you.

Good advice. This reminds me of other advice ''Sit with the discomfort''. I read that once. It helped me. It's not easy to just sit there with the anxieties and refuse to work or work out or drink. But let the anxieties pass through you at their own rate. And each time, they come back for another round, you feel their effect less.

I think my fear of abandonment has more to do with fear of rejection. I don't have a fear of being by myself. I'm most often alone and I'm most comfortable being by myself.

Understanding this has been the most significant enlightement in my life as a person coming from a very unhealthy background with strong traumas of abuse, neglect and abandonment. But it is actually possible to heal. To become the parent to yourself who can sit and give space to all the pain and discomfort and through that reach the peace and wisdom of the true self. It feels amazing to finally little by little start to live your OWN life. To be yourself. To create. To focus. To boost the energy rather than draining it. Level up from survival and distractions to consciousness and being present. You explained it all so well and clear, thank you.

I have been looking for a relationship to feel secure but ironically my abandonment issues are backfiring my whole effort. I have realized I need to fix my abandonment fears before I can even imagine of being in a healthy relationship

Ted talk worthy! Thank you! It is so moving to see a guy in touch with his emotions. This is the ultimate courage, not the silly "men don't cry", "don't talk about feelings" bullshit. Absolutely inspiring! Imagine what the world would look like, our relationships, if each of us worked through out pain. The only way out will always be through!

This makes so much sense. Years ago I was working 2 jobs and taking care of everyone but myself and after having a full hysterectomy I plummeted into major depression and developed an anxiety disorder and the fears that I have on a daily basis are the ones I had as a child that never got dealt with and the trauma from abuse. I use to push myself through the feelings by being busy and now I don't feel like doing much of anything even good and fun things.

Im a pisces and its in my nature to be emotional and wanting that real connection with everyone not just my partner.. I do have fear of everyone leaving me. Just last night I had a conversation with my partner abiut my insecurities, she reasurred me everything was fine and instantly I felt assured and relaxed. But being a pisces I also read in-between the lines so im always pulling and pushing within my own thoughts from my experience and abandonment from a baby. Im here because I need to change the thoughts I have in my head. Good luck every

Yes, of course it would be nice to let go of the fear of abandonment, but just saying you should let it go does not make it go.
This video tells you nothing at all how to stop it, but just refers to a blog at the end.
