I had independently concluded much of what I now call Provisionism, but your research provided a much broader foundation of historical and biblical support. I am now much better equipped to explain my position to others. You also helped me let go of my tenuous yet enduring retention of prevenient grace. Thank you.

Dr. Flowers, Soteriology 101 has helped me understand that a simple and straightforward faith in Jesus is enough for anyone who seeks salvation. You don’t have to be a member of a special preordained club or engage In hyper-intellectual contortions. You merely need to seek God, obey his commands, and you will receive His grace for all eternity. Bless you and praise Jesus, the Savior of all who believe in Him.

Though I've always rejected Calvinism, I've only recently found Dr. Leighton Flowers. After researching years worth of his information, I am proud to call myself a Provisionist because it's the conclusion I've come to believe on my own since July 12 of 2011 anyway, I just didn't have a name for it other than "Christian". It's comedic that I'm now called a Leightonist by those that teach a false gospel and preach a false doctrine, and only after just finding out about Dr. Flowers a handful of weeks ago, lol. But since he preaches and teaches the truth, is it really so bad?
Though never being a Calvinist, this ministry has definitely helped me better articulate the reason that I've believed the way I have and communicate the verses in a better context, one in which better shows and defends God for the good that He really is. Not contradicting scripture and seeing God as apart from evil, not a part of evil.

My family went to Calvanist South Africa from England so I grew up under "nationalistic Calvanism ". Later, , on the mission field I came under the influence of a determinist, who would take pains to decide what seat to use. I never really understood the powers that were coming against my whomsoever background so verashiously. I am truly eternally grateful to Leighton and 101. ❤

You've helped me realize I'm not crazy. Thank you. One of the fundamental questions I was left with as I was confronted with Calvinism is this: if it is true...there are profound implications that bring God's character, as expressed in Scripture, into question. Sovereignty, as described by Calvin and his followers, claims God has complete power to do what He pleases. Calvin and his followers claim God causes (not permits, CAUSES) everything that happens to happen...yes, even our sinful thoughts and actions. If you don't believe Calvinism teaches that, go study it for yourself and you will see. Sovereignty for them means God is at the back of everything that happens and He determined all of it before the creation. Why? For His glory. God could have done it any way He wanted, but He chose rather to bring about everything that occurs in this universe as His preferred way to glorify Himself. That means the Godhead determined beforehand to create billions of beings...beings made in His image...with the intention of consigning the vast majority of them to unimaginable eternal suffering. That is the most fundamental implication of Calvinism, and one that many of them squirm away from in complete discomfort. Why does this implication discomfit them? Because how then, through Christ's apostle, can God describe Himself as "love" (1 John 4:8)? How then can He say, "I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked" (Ezekiel 33:11)? How then can He say, "[He] is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (1 Peter 3:9)? How can John 3:16 say, "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."? I don't question Calvinism because I want to steal glory from God. I question Calvinism because it steals glory from God...according to His own word.

I knew there was a reason I like you so much: I’m Belarusian Pentecostal 😊 When I finally stated to understand everything I hear, I came across McArthur sermons and loved them so much, until one of them deeply hurt my soul- it was something about “strange fire” and Holy Spirit. It felt like a knife to my heart. Sometime after I found you, and you made everything clear, because I knew the name Calvinism, but did not know anything about it. My fate never wavered, because Slavic Pentecostals are kind of like American Southern Baptists, but with tongues😌, yet your long vids always attract my interest, because how illogical Calvinism looks to me.

I believed in eternal security, after giving my life to Christ and being discipled in prison. When I got out I only heard of Arminianism vs Calvinism I didn't see myself in any of those two systems. Then I came across soteriology 101, I didn't know there was a systematic for my soteriology until i listened to Leighton. This ministry has helped me out a great deal and God has used it to grow in my understanding of Soteriology and Theology in general.

Ive always been surrounded by calvinists in various churches ive belonged to over the years yet never felt the need to study it or believe it as i tend to stay away from any man made doctrinal boxes and just believe the Bible, but recently God has put it on my heart to look into it and its shocking how monstrous it is, ive started to notice it now in books i read and sermons i watch, very subtle, this channel has been a great resource, good work.

I never really realized what Calvinism or reformed thoelogy was until my dad suggested I look at a series of messages on Calvinism by congdon ministries. Realizing what Calvinism was I knew I could not agree that Jesus died only for some.
Recently my home church went through a lot of grief and were torn appart by the doctrine of grace called Calvinism. In about the same time I were in a relationship with a young man that holds to Calvinistic doctrine. It was then that someone send me a link of soteriology 101. It helped me very much. One thing that meant a lot to me is "how not to debate...". Because it is something close to my heart, it could easily get carried away and feel frustrated with those who disagree with me. I am still learning. Thanks for your work!

I confirm the one gentleman who said Justin Peters and John MacArthur helped pull him from the Word of Faith heresy. I came out the same way, almost completely deconstructed, and dabbled with atheism when my worldview was collapsing. But thanks be to God that He held on to me through the storms of my life. Your ministry and the likes of Mike Winger and many Calvary Chapel teachers defended the truth of free will and grace that I saw being maligned in the reformed perspective I was traveling in.

God bless and keep going!

Sociology 101 has helped me see things from a perspective that makes more sense when it comes to eschatology. I have seen other systematic theological systems that were terrible and extremely wrong compared to Calvinism. I still had issues of understanding God's good nature when looking at salvation through a calvinistic lens. but I be grudgingly believed Calvinism to be true for some time.. Now that my point of view has been opened up to provisionism, I'm able to see clearly God's sovereignty and man's responsibility to respond to the Holy Spirit beckoning us through faith, running parallel to each other. As opposed to being opposite to each other.
