It was finding out that God actually loved me, that made me come to Christ! How can anyone resist such an incredible love??

16:50 I recently realized that, by suggesting that the sign of the potter and the clay is about God's meticulous "sovereignty, " the Calvinist makes God the one who spoils the clay. In context, it's so clearly the potter expressing his frustrations at clay which spoils itself in His hands, yet the false systematic once again slanders the character of God by laying the fault at His feet.

This Matthew guy is doing more to undermine the trustworthiness of Calvinistic scholarship than Leighton himself has done over the years. He's proof that Calvinism doesn't need refuted; it just needs to be plainly stated, and then dismissed. In fact, this book is proof that in order to be a Calvinist, one requirement must be the ability to be consistently intellectually dishonest.

Matthew, thank you for writing this book. Please write more, and quickly, so as to hasten the day when Calvinism is ran back into the shadows of heresy.

It's like in Calvinism, they argue in time over doctrines based on man's actions, but their systematic requires every answer to really be, "God said so before anything ever was."

Calvinism is like an imperial official,
a retainer to the Throne that;
When it sees the peasants approaching the palace, it comes rushing out with misplaced fervor, screaming at the peasants - "The Lord's Sovereignty! The Lord's Sovereignty! You cannot approach!"
And then the Lord Himself rises from the throne and begins to walk out of the palace to be with the peasants.
And the Calvinism retainers come running up to Him in a panic and crying "Lord! You must not blemish your Sovereignty by touching those peasants!"
And the Lord just glares at them and brushes them aside as He walks out to sacrifice Himself for every peasant in the kingdom.
Then the retainers grumble under their breath and say "well.... He didn't do that for the peasants sake, He did it because of His Sovereignty...."

Calvinism is more in love with God's Lordship than His actual love for us.

I feel sorry for the man who felt it necessary to write a book in response to your excellent book Leighton- he must have a lot of time on his hands? I’m indebted to you for The Potters Promise- it helped me immensely as I tried to navigate calvinisms false theology 🙏🏻

I believe Calvinists are wrong when they say that God's love is one of His attributes. No, Scripture states that God is love. It is who He is. There is no Scripture that says God is wrath. Wrath is one of His attributes, not who He is. God is also holy, This is who He is. Both of these can be seen in Christ because what holiness demanded, His love provided.

I have been reading the book The Potters Promise and loving it. I can’t believe how your response to this critique is somehow even better than your book!

Is Calvinism misrepresenting God or bearing false witness against God??? I would assert the latter.

Matthew read your book like calvinists read the Bible.
They jump all over the place finding sentences that help them create their own interpretation.
Like the Bible, I'd guess it probably took Matthew about 20 minutes to read.
The calvinist bibile seems to be around 3 pages long

“Leighton gains a greater understanding of Kevin Thompsons heightened aggression to reformed people”😂😂

This book is not just bad scholarship, it’s malevolent.

Unfortunately, this is another example that Calvinists behave like a cult. They are more interested in defending their theological presuppositions than the Bible.

I am glad Leighton is finally being more honest with his audience and himself by not holding back as much with his frustration of calvanists....like Kevin Thompson. However I struggle to comprehend how he can refer to calvanists as brothers/sisters in Christ because everyday I wish and pray that I could do the same but just can't. The way I see it their is no need for Leighton mission or channel if calvanists are brothers/sisters in Christ. As much as I appreciate Leighton and his mission he does confuse me on this matter. Calvanism is a next level scary and extremely detrimental for anyone who falls prey to the tulip god and deceived while thinking they are being taught the true gospel but in fact a counterfeit.

I know this is a bit off topic but we need Leighton to be a book narrator not joke He has a great voice for reading out loud

To see the "clear evidence" of God from Creation would be a good thing. According to Matthew's system, how can they be suppressing something they are decreed not to be able to recognize unless God changes their nature? How could reprobates have "knew God"? Isn't knowing Good "good"? If believing is considered a work, then knowing should also be, right? To know God should be just as impossible without God decreeing a change in nature, if Calvinism is true. The intellect is truly dizzying!

It is scary how Calvinists can twist the scriptures into some other meaning rather than accepting the plain meaning of the word. I love reading the bible and believing just what it says. Thank you

To Leighton,
I love your work and am very appreciative I was introduced to it.
Something I struggle with is as follows:
I am unperfect. I do not follow the Law of God perfectly. I sin everyday.
I want to have assurance again, but I don't feel assurance anymore. I am unsure if it is true intellectually. Whether it is consistent or not is beyond me.
In summary, I once had assurance when I used to be Calvinist, til I learned of false conversion. Then I lost it and never got it again. I live each day not wanting to disappoint God, but knowing that logically I will fail Him in some way. Because I know I sin at least once a day (not for theological reasons do I say one, I'm just aware that's kind of the baseline) I don't know how to believe I am saved consistently. I don't know how to regain that and am not sure how to proceed in the Faith much longer without assurance. Can you help me find it again?

Calvinism is another gospel, which is no gospel at all. Gal1:6-8
