What an outstanding sermon on repentance and salvation! When I was a Calvinist preacher in a reformed church, I knew deep down this was true. We did preach salvation by faith alone, then contradicted ourselves by checking out our lives to confirm whether or not our level of righteousness measured up to being saved. This constantly confused me and I eventually realized we were dangerously wrong about repentance and that salvation by faith alone is exactly that. Belief in the Savior who paid the price on the cross for every sin is what saves us, so why should we be checking to see if we are saved? I prayed for more guidance and confirmation, then one afternoon, Dr. Arnold preached exactly that message and I then KNEW I was saved! Pastor Jesse is now doing the same, praise God, and I plead with all of you to preach this message as this is the ONLY true Gospel of peace!

God just wants us to believe Him! When He said Jesus was crucified, buried, and risen for my justification, I believe Him and trust only in that! Praise God!

A very important subject for people to grasp. Repentance is something that a lot of people don't understand today unfortunately, because of the Catholic definition of penance which is not the same thing as repentance which is a change of mind

Dear pastor. I watched your video and I have made the Change. I believe that Jesus paid the price for my sins and god raised him from the dead. It’s by faith and his grace not by works . Can you keep me in your prayers. Thank you so much.

Amen ❤️ true gospel 🙏at my church. I noticed the guy said he turned from sins that doesn't make you saved . It says repent and believe the gospel. Not turn from sins. The churches today don't understand the correct meaning of repentance

In Acts 17:30, God commands all men everywhere to repent, which means to have a change of mind.

The context of this verse points to “believers” who need to have a change of mind and begin living a different way toward the things God.

We can look at multiple scriptures that point to the believers justification without any hint of repentance.

The entire Gospel of John, Acts 10:43, Acts 13:39, Acts 15:11, Acts 16:31, Rom 3:22, Rom 3:24, Rom 3:26, Rom 3:28, Rom 4:3, Rom 4:5, Eph 1:13, Eph 2:8, etc, etc., etc.

Only a believer can change their mind (choose to repent) and begin following the Lord after they have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ.

God bless!

Repentance comes before and after. Having a change of mind about who your Lord and Savior is "Yeshua Hamashiach" and after, when the holy spirit is working Repentance through you in your new body of Christ

Jesse,
I've come across your videos recently and enjoy them. I'm probly not the only one to disagree with your view of repentance. Are you familiar with Bob Wilkin's dissertation on repentance? I believe it's always a turning from sins but it is not a condition of salvation or receiving eternal life. The Ninevites repented(turned from their sins) and judgment was relented.

39:40 to 40:05 You gave an example of repentance (i.e. changing your mind). In it you talk about changing our minds about certain sins: "As you are disciplined by the Lord, you should be doing one of these, "Maybe that is not a good thing. Maybe I should stop doing that. I need to change my mind about 'this' and do 'this'"
So can repentance be a change of our mind about sin? And that change of mind goes something like, "maybe that is not a good thing. maybe I should stop doing that." So when we call people to repent (i.e. change their minds) in order to be saved, does that include changing their minds about sin?
thanks and Gbu
