Support structures are common requirements for additively manufactured parts to provide a foundation for overhanging features to be deposited. However, some powder bed processes do not require supports. In this 15-minute lesson, Greg Paulsen will run through why some AM processes do not require supports, and what that can mean for your 3D printed designs, costs, and production output. Greg will focus on two core technologies: HP Multi Jet Fusion and selective laser sintering.
