For those of you watching this way in the future, I will give a caveat on the migraine section at 19:00. I recommended dehumidifiers which are good on paper but the problem is that a lot of them are designed in such a way that they cannot be cleaned. I have no idea why the companies do this. Anything that involves water needs to be cleanable because water will create mold. Some of the dehumidifiers have air filters. Big deal. All that does is keep dust out of it. That doesn't account for all of the hoses and every internal space that the water touches. All of that needs to be cleanable with something like bleach.

If you do not clean your dehumidifier, it will mold and it will spread that mod everywhere when it pushes air back out of the system. So I am a little black pilled on this technology unless they make them to be easily disassembled or have some sort of valve that you can pour bleach into to easily clean it because they probably have to be cleaned daily or every 3 days.

Getting turned down at buzzfeed must’ve felt terrible. They really told her she isn’t a good enough at writing to write an article about the dress a celebrity wore to the Met Gala

I like your message. It's harsh but also grounded. "You're not inherently ugly. You just need to shower and groom yourself." My worldview changed a lot when I began to understand that my body was more than 2/3 of my outfit.

Losing track of life is completely normal but staying lost and giving up is not

"Fail faster" was one of the best pieces of advice one of my teachers gave me back at school. It really woke me up back then. Find the wrong solutions quickly and learn from them as best you can

I wish I could tell these people this: whoever you blame has the power over you. By taking responsibility, you're literally empowering yourself to have agency over your life.

Becoming an adult is like learning to walk when you're a toddler : you tumble a lot at the beginning but with time and practice you suck less and less at it. It's perfectly okay to struggle in your 20s and 30s.

I’m tired of hearing “it shouldn’t matter that I’m ugly/fat/lazy” but it DOES. That’s just a harsh reality of life. Learn to adapt and evolve, or fail.

THIS is precisely why we used to have social norms. Radicals decided that standards of behavior and appearance were “oppressive” and worked to erase them from our culture and now SO many people are completely lost and depressed because they were not taught by their families, peers, or culture about how to conduct themselves. Everyone is just expected to muddle their way through on their own. This is not how any society is supposed to function.

Before I became a professional artist in the videogame industry, I faced the same problem. Nobody wanted to hire me because of my lack of professional experience. So I was literally doing anything possible, art comissions, volunteered to work on mods for different games, attended game jams...During all of those met people and made connections aswell, and now Im a professional for almost 4 years and worked for 5 different companies already.

You just need to be passionate, and always willing to improve. The worst thing you can do is to have a blank CV. When the hiring people see you are willing to do the job even for free atleast they see you are truly passionate about it. Also yes doing those volunteer works helped me to get my first job.

This channel made me do something. I live in a feminist country where there are 0 good female rolemodels and you are told that you're perfect and beautiful no matter what, but I never felt it. I've always felt insecure and ugly. The bullying never helped. I realised thanks to this channel that I'm not a hopeless victim! I've begun to work out, shower regularly, take care of my hair, and take care of my hygiene in general. My fashion sense is still relatively weak, but I'm getting better!

A lot of “loneliness” is that people don’t feel UNDERSTOOD. And you could tell them: “well, explain yourself so people can understand you.” But more than likely they have an avoidant personality so opening up means a potential for even greater rejection: not for what you look like but for WHO YOU ARE.

Regarding male alienation: "When you ignore the young men of the tribe they will burn the village to the ground just to feel a little warmth." Men with nothing to lose can be very dangerous.

I graduated high school 1 week before turning 20, and I graduated with 4 felonies on my juvenile record. I never had a hard time finding a job, i knew my place, started from the bottom of the barrel taking temp agency jobs working at factories, and by the time my felonies fell off my record I had worked about 5 jobs having put in at least a year at each. Now today at 32, I've worked about 10 different factory jobs, having put in about a year at each. I've noticed employers appreciate my resume more and more with each passing job, and the process for getting hired on gets more and more seamless. On top of that, all the work I do is manual labor, which in my mind just feels like getting paid to exercise.
