Some weeks ago I had a course for my apprenticeship. I’m about four years older than the others and when they started talking about drinking I just was like „well I don’t drink“ and one of them just went „wHy?! You’re legal and don’t drink?“ Dude it really isn’t a big deal whether you’re legal or not, 13yo babies be getting legless on Friday nights plus what‘s the problem with me not drinking? One, I don’t really want to experience the side effects of it and two, I just really despise the taste of any alcoholic drink I’ve ever had a sip of and I’m not planning on trying more lol.

Im so sick of this question lol I use to drink almost 2 pints of vodka every single day for years but got hospitalized for alcoholic pancreatitis, fatty liver disease, hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia, hypertension, tachycardia, withdrawals, etc. I was a full blown addict, but I stopped drinking 5 years ago. Whenever someone asks why I dont drink, I just tell them that my body can't process alcoholic. I hate telling people I had a problem, besides anonymously on the internet lol

When people ask me where my drink is, I hold up a pretend glass and say, "right here." If they press on it, then I tell them, "you know this is quite exquisite stuff, it’s $50 a glass (free for friends) and have a connection to a very fine distillery. I can hook you up if you’re interested.” The cool ones want a glass, the not so cool ones just aren’t as cool. This has worked like a charm for the ten years I’ve been doing it.
