Doc I almost cried tears of joy at watching this. I have stage 4 osteoarthritis under my patella from patella dislocations. Went to see three orthopedics and “the best” physical therapy practice in the area. Steroid injections didn’t help and physical therapy focused on quads didn’t help (if anything made it worse). The ONLY thing that has helped are quad sets which just helps with synovial fluid and focusing on firing and strengthening glutes. I am soooo happy to understand that there is a bio mechanical explanation to this. I am beyond grateful for healthcare professionals like yourself researching and specializing in new approaches and new understandings to help people out there. Thank you thank you!

Doc I can’t thank you enough, the 3 secret exercises for osteoarthritis on my knee are working !! Just the simple twisting of my foot from side to side has opens up my knee joint and now I have full movement and pain has gone. Also massaging my thigh with the messager has also been helpful, I feel more confident again and will resume light workouts to see how I get on…thank you from a very happy viewer in England

Thanks 🙏 my friend

I tighten and release knees at a wiggle pace to reduce the pain when I’m about to get out of bed in the morning and my knees are less painful. I must have bone spurs on my inner knees. My knee hurts at night when I lay on my side. I’m 70 with a CPAP if you move around too much to find a less painful knee reaction my CPAP makes the fluff noise. Getting old is full of surprises. 🎉 always thank you for you tips. I was an avid rollerblader in my 30-50’s. I loved the small slopes under overpasses where I gained speed and hunched in a ball up position to go faster. I often wonder if that activity played a role in my osteoarthritis settling in my knees. You’re always in a bent knee forward position for strong balance. Oh how I miss those glorious two hour skating daily moments. FREEDOM with your fav music on great skating routes. 🎉

I’ve been trying for over a month, but I’m so bad as isolating my glutes. Formal PT focused on quads, hamstrings and balancing exercises. Been trying a variety of glute strengthening on my own but am so discouraged.

Got 2 different diagnoses (patellofemoral pain syndrome and bursitis) and 1 possible diagnosis (plica). But I know from your channel the first 2 have the same treatment. Going to keep trying. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I used to be a massage therapist. I used reciprocal inhibition during my sessions to release muscles that were chronically tight.

Thank you so much for explaining this. I never understood why all the focus on glute exercises for knee pain. Now knowing that they help relax the quads, I’m committed to do your standing glute program at least once a day. 👍🏻
