🤣 Gotta love Mom with hands on hips — too cute! You presented great info today, thank you. Yup, I scored well on tests but was considered an “underachiever” and constantly reminded of same. My mature reaction was of course, to live “down” to that potential. No ADHD diagnosis back in my early days. So happy there is light shining on this now.❤ It’s simply the way our minds work. (note that your background music is heavily distracting for us — your smile and your caring delivery up is all we need)

Thanks for this video. I tend to be very hard on myself, I tell myself that my ADHD is not an excuse for my underachieving. This video helped me feel validated :). I notice that having more compassion and understanding for myself has helped immensely more than self-deprecation ever has. Just as a flower seems to bloom more beautifully when you speak kindly to it, I find it important we nourish our own souls with kindness.

I've been diagnosed with adhd for about a year now and I'm still learning about it. My partner has ADHD too and has been diagnosed his entire life pretty much. He's hyperactive and I have periods of hyperactivity but I'm mostly inattentive. Obviously that combo doesn't go well together 😂. I also have a chronic illness (have had ADHD symptoms for much longer than the chronic illness). It is a struggle

I love the idea for specific tasks on specific days and the five minute timer! Thank you so much for sharing consistently because I need to hear it lol!

I found also if I have certain songs I relate to a task that can help. When we worked from home I had trouble finishing certain paperwork while on the phone so I would close and finish it during that song. For cleaning if I’m having a motivation problem, Shake It Off helps because it’s just high energy fun. Basically i’m using the songs as a timer. It’s not 100% but it helps. Thank you for these tips.

6:33 Why don't you set the camera in a different position instead of blocking your mum.
