THIS GUY IS THE BEST OUT THERE! I KNOW HES BEEN A GM FOR THE LAST 4-5 YEARS AND HASNT HAD TIME TO INVEST IN MAKING TRAINING VIDEOS. I HEARD HES GOING TO GET BACK INTO TRAINING FULL TIME AGAIN!! ITS GAME TIME FOR ALL OF US SALESMEN AND SALES WOMEN OUT THERE IF ITS TRUE!!! FINGERS CROSSED!

I love “no combativeness”. I can’t count how many times I’ve tried buying a car only to have the salesmen instantly become combative and make me just walk. I always have this exact objection “let me think about it”. Instead of validating it I get “no you just don’t know the business” and “you’re making a big mistake”. Why on earth would a statement like that make me want to buy a car from you.

I was in car business for many years.. The one thing you need to learn is that it's not the customer or objections they have that hold you It's the management that stands in your way.

Sometimes it's ok if a customer says "I want to think about it", I have told several sales people that, and then gone back to that dealer and bought the very next day. Some people will just simply not buy no matter what on their 1st trip to the dealership. If you "do your job" and do it well, they will come back !

Great response, it’s a neutral answer and brings down the customer defenses. I agree if there’s no write up, then the percentage to close decreases exponentially.
