1 Tbsp Chicken Bouillon
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper

*Cooking:
2 Tbsp Oil
5 Pieces Garlic
2 Shallots
3 Red Chili
2 Tbsp Black Peppercorn
7 Bay Leaves
Marinated Chicken
4 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Vinegar
1 Tbsp White Sugar
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
2 Cups Water

My husband is Filipino. I love cooking this for him. I like to fry up some sliced potatoes and then add them back to the chicken at the end. The potatoes just soak up all those flavors and spreads the meal out even more.

The best part is the leftover the next day. Somehow all the flavor are like 10x the next day.

My first time ever having plain white rice & adobo was my sophomore year in HS. My best friend is 1/4 Filipino & his Lola would make BUFFETs of food for us when we got home from school/practice. She’d get so mad if we didn’t finish all of it or if there was a lot of leftovers 😂. I still love that old lady with all of my heart! And no shoes in the house!

Pinoy flavor profiles aren't as always extravagant as other cuisines but damn does it hit the spot.
Us Filipinos aren't consistent with recipes which often you'll hear "my version, my style" in them family functions.
You never fail to impress cuisines outside of your own !!! Good shit my man!

I like how the filipinos in the comments are giving out recommendations and tips to elevate the adobo. They're times when quang makes a dish of another culture, and rude people bash him in the comments, even type out racist remarks. But forgot that, were just here to have a good time and eat some delicious food.
