I've looked into that channel. He has pili multigemini so plucking them is in fact a good thing as they are painful and removing them helps to stop them from coming back.

My Husband has VERY thick hair. And he on rare occasions will get a hair that he calls "A Hurting Hair". It is so thick and stiff that it hurts like a splinter. So he will pull them or ask me if I can pull them.
Especially if they are at the nape of the neck or behind the ear.
I can usually tell. I just look for the super thick pencil led looking one.
Some times I have to take the tweezers and gently wiggle each hair in the area until he tells me that I found it.
The area will actually swell and get irritated if left in there. But once the hair is removed. The area calms down.

Leaving them can be really painful too(not all of them just some)

I used to do that because they used to get inflamed more often. haven't had that problem since my 40s for some reason.

My wife will pull my face hair out for literally hours... I'm too patient

My hubby had a few of those and they seemed to grow faster than the rest of his facial hair. After we had been married for a while, he let me pull them, and after doing it a couple times, they never came back. One was 8 or 9 hairs together. He also got very fine little curled up hairs just under the thin top layer of skin on his back. It's part of what I've missed for the last 10 years since he's been gone, and right now I'm giggling thinking about belly button lint, it was always a joke we shared. 😊

Na it needs to be done. After doing this for a few years periodically, i no longer have the doubled and trippled etc up pore issues.

I call them the horse hair, they're so hard and course. I'm female and get one on my chin from time to time (WTF) and I can assure you that beast gets plucked ASAP 😂

My ex had the opposite problem. His facial hair, what he had of it, (think Johnny Depp), was very fine. And his skin was a bit thick. So he’d have dozens of multiple ingrown hairs, some one-two inches long. He said if his hair grew on the outside like it did on the inside, he’d have a good beard.

And here I thought my husband was the only one that thought somebody was killing him by pulling out a little bitty hair

Doc' you actually look very pretty without make-up etc. Just an observation. God bless.

Seems a lot of us have this issue. It's unbearable. Causes plenty of ingrown and inflamed

I’ve gotten the a couple of times before. It was literally like I had a splinter in my cheek or lip. I had to pull them because even moving my face around would hurt. I haven’t gotten them since I moved to using a good beard shampoo.

I pull those thick ones out too. I use salicylic acid too.

I thought I was the only one who did this. These hurt me just as much as for this guy. And the closer to your lips, the worse the pain.

I get those, and they are really weird, wobbly and hollow, almost. They usually get infected or they hurt, so I pull them out when that happens.
